Don from TN. When most people are complaining about everything these days l appreciate your positivity, God bless y’all, you do a amazing job with Hunter and he is so blessed to have you two as parents.
No doubt we have blessings we need to be thankful for each day. Glad it went well at the new Dr. On to Midway... my father served on the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier. Granted it was the one they commissioned after the loss of the first one at Midway. None the less he was a proud sailor from “The Fighting Lady”. Keep up the great work!
My respect for your entire family is immeasurable. The Lord couldn't have come up with better parents for Hunter. You guys are one of the things I am thankful for this holiday tomorrow. God Bless you all.
Happy Thanksgiving to all! I am praying for Stanley 🙏🙏We lost a guy like him to soft tissue cancer this year It was terrible!!Too many dogs getting cancer! God Bless Hunter I think he’s a great young man! I m proud of him He does great! I don’t do Facebook either My younger son said I don’t want to be on it lol 👍 God Bless you all 😆🇱🇷🇱🇷♥️
A great video. I feel better you'll be getting that man lift. My prayers are with Stanley and my buddy Hunter. God bless Michael from NW North Carolina
Glad to see Stanley up and about. Hope Hunter makes connection with his new doctor. I like historical movies and I agree thatvshowing them in schools as a motivational tool mint work. A good old fashion history book and a dedicated teacher is still the best
Don't feel the need to apologize for any video you put out. We subscribe to see a "day in the life" which is what most of us love. So sorry to hear about Stanly. He's lucky to have a warm and loving family. Hey Hunter,, I don't like doctors offices either. It's good you have a compassionate one.
I'm back, but still in recovering from major surgery (abdominal aorta aneurysm) The mini cabin is looking great. Wishing you guys a very happy, healthy thanksgiving.
I understand how you feel when in the public with Hunter. I did it for about 8 years. I had a full range of feelings through the years. I've found some people very compassionate and helpful and some much less understanding and rude. Some people don't realize that we are all just human beings, whatever our abilities are and deserve to be treated as such. I think people with disabilities bring out the best and worst in people sometimes. When it comes down to it, the amount of compassion and care people have for others, I think, tells everything about their character. Keep up the good work.
I've had to deal with people around my daughter who has autism.... she hates to wear her sneakers and takes them off in the cart in like Walmart... And some people are just rude and some are amazing.... I've blew up at a couple and it almost has me scared because of my temper...
Ah yes the comments from people. I feel for you there. We had people ask us to leave restaurants when our son would get upset over food. Our autism society gave us some cards to hand out to people explaining what autism is and why he was acting the way he was. Some gave back the cards and apologized. But as time went on it did get easier, and with two parents helping him, we were able to come out on top. You guys are doing an awesome job with Hunter and it shows. Love the siding, and that color of stain hits the mark. Stan the man, what can I say....enjoy your fur babies for as long as you can. They love unconditionally. Looking forward to the next one. Take care and God Bless.
#622 best one yet. melissa is a hoot. great sense of humor and both of you are so entertaining to watch because you are comfortable in front of the camera.
Hey Mike, I'm just getting caught up on these videos but am really enjoying the cabin build. Suppose I could skip ahead to see the end, not gonna do it! Thanx for sharing this with us.
Mini cabin gonna be a great place to hang out. Looking good. Hey out to Hunter and Stanley hang in there, hopefully better days. Great movie review, gonna go see Midway and know what to expect. Thanks👍✊
M&M cherish every moment you have with Stanley! They are the best. Unconditional love that’s what they give us no matter what. Unfortunately I had to put my beloved Cleo down in June and I still can’t believe she is gone. We miss her so much
I have the honor and privilege to work with folks who have autism, and what a great feeling it is. I have worked in the mental health field for more than 29 years, and wouldn't change a thing. Autistic folks want nothing more than to be loved and welcomed just like anyone else. Mike and Melissa have done a wonderful job taking care of Hunter, my hats of to you both.
Sorry to hear news about Stanley. We loss a Golden two years ago to cancer. Cooper was 9 years old when he developed cancer. I feel your pain. God Bless and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Praying for Stanley, mini cabin's looking good Mike make sure Stanley spends his remaining time around the mini cabin so his spirit will keep you company while hunting
Nice progress on the cabin. Lift is the way to go on the higher parts. Had ladder slip out on me years ago, first ambulance trip to E.R. Be safe, enjoy what you like doing and time with family!
I had a friend of mine build a similar mini cabin like yours. He sided his to the ground and put a door to drive his 4 wheeler in. Eventually he put in a floor and turned it into a two story mini cabin with a small deck.
Hi from No. VT. As you were putting up the siding I did notice that you were not overlapping the sides at the corner, even with the addition of corner boards, so one caution about creating a "channel" inside the trim. Some insects love those for nesting in the summer. My advice is to put at least a dab of caulking at the top and bottom of the channel before you put on your corner trim boards, just to preclude problems later. Melissa - On Hunter's doctor visit - it is great people like you who are really helping a lot of the public understand the challenges of autistic individuals, thank you for being open and honest so people can hear and understand more about the condition
hi there have a wonderful Thanks Giving to all of you and all who watch you guys . and Mike don't eat more then the man lift can pick you lol take care john
cabin is looking great you two. I want to say that it is refreshing to see a quality family showing people what good living brings. I look forward to each day as I look for your latest video first thing in the morning. I love that family is first with you guys and that you don't let the garbage that people try to push set in. I love that I have learned more about taking care of my property and being a person who heats with wood I have learned a lot watching. next purchase for me is a new log splitter and watching you two I know what I will buy. God bless and have a great holiday season.
Hugs and prayers for Stanley. Big thumbs up for Hunter doing such a swell job at the doctor's office. Lol, Mike -- watch out for those "Noah" floods. I liked a comment from Craig Norris about movie reviews around the wood stove in the mini cabin with the Morgans...sounds like a great future feature. Thumbs up.
Really enjoying the cabin build! Mike, you seem to be a lot like me in that I help everyone else but end up doing all my projects by myself. So sorry to hear about Stanley's health issues. As hard as it is, try to remember that when you brought Stanley home, it was like he got a winning lottery ticket! Free room and board for life, a warm place to sleep, a loving family, dog pals to hang out with, lots of walks and a big forest to explore. That's about as good as it get for a dog! You guys really gave Stanley a great life.
Mike and Melissa, I think cool you guys make videos in what you do. Haven't seen Hunter or the family in awhile, I think the bk run are cool. I'm sure Hunter love them. Later Guy. Allan Robinson for Sharpsburg, Maryland
Staying on task is a tough thing to do. Mini is coming along very nice, ladder work is tough if your not used to the constant up and down, lifts are the smart choice. Yup we watch the dog show every year, don't miss it. Most in the medical field do have compassion ,not all but most. Educating others in what you deal with in the daily, usually falls on deaf ears, they have their minds made up. Amazing the amount laughter and enjoyment dogs add to our daily lives.
We have SO much to be thankful for everyday :) I can't wait to see Midway...I was an Aviation Electrician in the US Navy and the history of Navy battles in the Pacific are legendary !!! " It just jacks everything up" LOL LOL... Love it...Prayers continue for Stanley and your family... Be safe out there and God Bless
Sorry to hear about Stanley. I agree they should show more documentary content about the past wars! Because this younger generation has no concept and takes everything for granted! You can learn alot about history!! By the way the cabin siding is looking sweet...👍 Happy Thanksgiving to your family
Mike, Melissa, FYI. MIDWAY, the book by Mitsuo Fuchida / Masatake Okumiya of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Very good account of this battle Japanese view. Sorry to hear about Stanley's condition - . The cabin is coming along fantastically & the man lift will add tremendously with the high up safely. Just thinking what the interior will turn out to be. No doubt will look as good as the outside. Stay safe.
A couple of videos that I show my 8th Grade U.S. History classes that I like are "The American Revolution" by the AHC channel and "Blood and Glory - The Civil War in Color" by the History Channel. Both go way beyond what traditional textbooks cover.
I watched the same Battle of Midway video on RU-vid. Mike you are correct that video touched on more key points that even our history books didn’t. Very well worth the watch. JLG 400AJP would do very well with finishing your high work. Happy Thanksgiving.
We were taught Australian, British and American history when I was at school. I met an American couple visiting Tasmania last month who asked to sit on the end of our table at a cafe, we had a great conversation but after my wife said to me we knew more about American history than they did. My grandfather served in the Royal Australian Navy and fought in the battle of the Coral sea and if my memory serves me right it was a few weeks before the battle of Midway. I remember our history teacher telling us that the battle of Midway was the turning point in the war of the Pacific because Japan didn't have the capacity to replace its losses whilst America had the industrial might to replace it losses faster.
We ALL Love our Furry “Family” Members. We currently have a dog with Lymphoma and she is going through Chemo which is going very well. GOD Bless Stanley and R.I.P. 🙏 Thanks!
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! We enjoyed Midway also. My father was an honor guard for the Japanese emperor at the end of WW2. We just celebrated his 92nd birthday.
Watched " Victory at Sea" many times in class during grade school, good stuff. Big shout out to Hunter and Positive thoughts for Stanley. :) Wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.
My grand pap served in the Pacific during WW2, and he had said that, he never knew when his home, ( being the USS Rigel ) was gonna be shot out from under him. Stanley!😭❤
Movies like Midway, Pearl Harbor makes me think of the nobility of the Greatest Generation and how unselfish they were to win for America. Yes they were all very young but that may have been inspired on dares to their buddies. Hello Stanley, Pipper, and Ruger you are all great looking pups I hope Stanley doesn' get too sick with this cancer. I wait patiently for your next sharing of your lives in your videos I look forward to them. I hope that you all have a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends. Please don't forget to remember somebody that you have lost and the service members that won't be able to be home. Hello Hunter. Ed
Thank you for the movies reviews; will go now to see Ford v Ferrari , so good for you to share Hunter adventures with the doctor , good Freinds of ours have a daughter with Autism , the did so much work with her , she is coming out of herself , i really think you are or you become super human parents and careers with all the care and attention and dedication you give them is mind blowing, I see it first hand and it amaze me how you deal with it 👏👏👏👏👏👏Bravo and I realize it must be so so hard sometimes but you keep going .🥰👏👍🇫🇷🇮🇪🐸
Happy Thanksgiving to the Morgans! Glad Hunter’s Dr. appointment went well. I appreciate you sharing that part of your lives with us, it helps us understand and respond appropriately.
