Today we looked for some Turkey, ate some Turkey, and Managed to Get The Roof on The Mini Cabin. The Man Lift Worked very well to install the ondura roofing panels.

Ondura roofing in my opinion is the best way to go. It is quieter, doesn't sweat like metal, and the longevity is reallly good. Putting plywood sheeting down first, that roof will last 70 + years. Loved Melissa's hat.

Hi folks Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. We don't have this celebration in Australia or New Zealand but it is lovely to hear all the things that you both are thankful for. My like tick today goes to Melissa for her hat and her mischievous and cheeky smile as she recalls Mike trying to deal with the wind and hurting his foot. Great work on the cabin Mike I am enjoying watching you with all your hard work and seeing it in the end results. You are very much a handy person and I love watching all the hard work both you and Melissa put in around your property.

Good morning, Mike and Melissa. No BF shopping here either. Our Thanksgiving consisted of going to the movies to see, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood ". A delightfully wonderful story. Then, visited my mom in a memory care home. Life is good.🙂

Nothing wrong that hat. It looks warm and the colours are ok. I would wear it. The cabin looks good. The sound of weather on the roof is music and that material will not eliminate it but reduce it somewhat. Later

Hi this is Cary &Marcie from Florida ,I'm a former Indiana guy from @ near Poland Indiana, having a Log Home on the edges of Hoosier National Forest so I "can identify with Mike in the Aspect of loving the woods which is one reason I watch your videos religiously lol. Just a tease - a ZZ Top hat and it is wonderful. Warm I suspect. Mike really knows the controls and quick motion direction to the work. Wish he had a 'harness' (think dog) with a safety 'leash' to the bucket. Love the sweater and the hat. Rats on the sweater.

We used that same roofing on a shed the mistake we made was not putting plywood under it and it's sagging and cracking but it's 22 years old. So that being said your grandson will be old enough to replace it. Aj from Linesville PA

Melissa, I think the hat is fine. I do miss Fred,, the Fox hat. Thanks for sharing more of your talents. Perhaps you you could replace the very young Hanna video with a longer modern update. Hanna has her own quiet charm. It is also like seeing a rare bird, something to be remembered. I know being on camera is hard for her. Knowing the Morgans is a gift. Hanna's story, and her quiet strength touch me. God bless you all, friends.

Hey Mike, I couldn't help but notice your roof. You should have put a flashing on the bottom facia board or, extended the roofing out a couple of inches. This will help to keep it dry and help prevent it from rotting. The hunting shack is looking good as far as the rest of it. But at the end of the day, it IS your little hunting shack. I usually just watch and try not to be a critic. This time I felt you might want to know while there is still time to correct it without being very expensive. Hope you had a very enjoyable holiday and get your little project done without any incident. Good video and God bless you all.

U can also apply that siding vertically and there again smooth or groove side out. And yes the man lift is the ticket, I was a journeyman Millwright and man lifts where just one of my many tools, from the small to massive large, my case upto 85 foot reaches four wheel drives. I love them. The old sain work smarter not harder and last but not least "SAFETY. FIRST". And hoping your thanksgiving was great.

We have horseshoes in Illinois . Its toast with a hamburger covered with French fries and cheese sauce . Or pony shoe for a smaller one. Accually they make all kinds of horseshoes now with ham, chicken strips, roast beef ect. Even breakfast horseshoes with eggs, sausage , bacon and hash browns in stead of fries

Melissa hat looks great on you. You did a great job on it. About the steak salad first ever heard of it. Here in Texas we eat our steaks grilled , fries on the side also salad on the side. At least got to try steak salad never know if you like unless you try it. Great videos, Great family. Enjoy ya'll all the time. Mike you do good work on all your projects. We had those winds here in Vermont too. Power went out in the middle of cooking the turkey, so we had to finish it in the gas grill. Came out great!

Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving day with all of us!!! I went Black Friday shopping......bought a Stihl Chainsaw with 2 gallons of bar lubricant, a 12 pack of 2 - cycle synthetic oil and 3 pairs of Carhartt Logger pants! Now that is how Black Friday should be!!!!

We built a cabin with that rubber roofing. One night the snow and ice melted and slid off the roof in the middle of the night. I thought the cabin was falling down the hill. The sound was ridiculously loud and sounded like an explosion. Got the heart beating fast at 2 am! But it installed very easily and lasts forever

The Turkey's are never around when you are hunting for them...just the way it works Mike! Cabin looks great now you have a fairly decent place to stay when you are in the dog house. Hello Mike and Melissa, same thing here, for the last 2 weeks we don't see anymore turkeys, I think they know the calendar and they run away, LOL, you took the good decision by renting this equipment to complete your cabin. Here south of Quebec city near Maine border we have 10 to 12 inches of snow and it's cold. For your turkey the best is go to the grocery store, LOL. Have a nice day and take care for your Thanksgiving day.
