You're videos are very useful and informative. Being able to watch how it's done gave me the ammo I needed to get rid of the rust on my '68. Keep up the great work. I cant wait to see how this one turns out!!!!
I own a Fab shop where I build all kinds of crazy stuff, but man I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos and gleaning whatever info I can from it! Thank you!!
As I've said before, great vids and nice work! I like how there's not much "word salad" from you, just simple explanations of what you're going to do then getting it done. Too many RU-vidrs just go on and on and on about things. Keep the vids coming, can't wait to see the finished product.
huge THANK YOU for providing guidance and documenting these repairs. I have a 1962 with nearly identical problems. You are a clever man and now because of your videos I will be able to successfully duplicate your efforts.
I see your a Z/28 fan! My Red 79 Z/28 back in the day was named "ZBAD28" on my license plate. When racing at "Martin US 131 Dragway" in South West Michigan I used to get lot's of Thumbs Up 👍from the announcers. The good Ol'day's... Keep On Trucking Brother👍...
Glad you have come back with new videos, I bing watched your other videos about 6 months ago and hoped you would be back. I am working on a ‘65 stepside, your videos are great for education. Thanks again!
Steve, Watched all your videos. Man you make it look easy, I have followed your lead on alot of videos working on my 64 GMC. Thanks for setting up your camera and spending the time to coach all of us on metalwork and truck resto. I've done inner and outer rockers, fender patches and door skin patches. I couldn't and wouldn't of even tried it without your vids. Gives us guys the confidence to get it done. Is there anything you can't do? I bet you can R&R as washer and dryer too. Thanks Steve in Washington State.
Thanks again Mr. Steve Gibson for another great video. You continue to inspire me for my work on my 62' FLTSD SHORTBED BIG BACK WINDOW and my 63' STEPSIDE SMALL BACK WINDOW. Keep em coming Brother. Truck Driver Ray ✝️ 5/18/23
I'm happy you found another truck. I sure missed watching your progress on those old Chevys. I have 3 square body's and a 70 and a 71 all Chevys. Someday I want to find a 65 GMC to bring back around. Live in Northern WISCONSIN 10 min. from the UP Michigan border and the early to mid 60s Trucks are real scarce up here. Keep the videos coming,, if I can't do one myself it's at least fun to watch somebody else do one. lol
Thank you for taking the time to post these videos! I post videos of restoring vintage radios and know how much effort and time it takes. You make the process seem so easy, when I try this I realize that it is above my skill levels….lol…..I have a 64 C10 that Im working on here in East TN and its been a slow go for me… Thanks again--Larry
As always great work Brother Gibs👍... Just finished working on my Red&White 63 C10's I6 292 engine, darn Missouri mud daubers made a mess of the Intake Manifold after someone stoled the Carburetor and fuel pump. Can't wait to see the next video Brother. Keep On Trucking Brother Gibs👍...
Hello Brother, hope all is going well? How the new black C10 Custom Cab coming along? Stay safe Brother Gibbs and hope to cya again soon Brother... Keep On Trucking Brother Gibbs 👍...
Brother Gibs showed us at the beginning of this new build that the "Black Beauty" had many generations of mice nest in between the outer rooftop and the inner headliner. Lot's of mouse piss, droppings and moisture made the metal rust from the inside out. Keep On Trucking Brother👍...
Hey Gibson: Building a 65 c10, finnished frame/engione, drivetrain and on body work now, have a question if you dont mind: This is a small window cab btw. Rear of cab from top of wide section to below window is curved in, dang linear too, its low about 3/16 , maybe a 1/4 at the center of the upper section just below the flat before the window. I first thought it was bent in by something hitting a bed hard, but now im not sure. Is that inward curve factory of, do it need to pull this out? Its a slow curve , lowest point is dead center . Any help appreciated buddy. Btw- you do great work on both cars and framing.
If your talking about the rear back window panel just below the window it is supposed to be a straight panel all the way across.mine was bowed in a little on my red 63 and I used a stud welder to pulled it out
@@Gibson63. yes, there and the shelf below it. I’m bowed in on both horizontal areas , steps out from flat below window . First one about 2 inches wide , one below it about 4 to 5 inches wide . So I need to pull all that out ? Man, you have no idea how much I appreciate you .
@@Gibson63. as always, thank you sir!! I have a bridge, wiggle wire, studs etc but- man, its sprung, might have to try some heat . I appreciate you man, truly.
