Miniatures painting is a whole branch of art by itself. I was classically trained but started painting minis for my mom's dollhouses, WHOA it's 100X harder! Viv's use of Japanese gel paints, and her experimentation with special fx mediums drives me wild. Every time I buy Powerball tickets I'm thinking of her supplies 😉😜😂
What mediums do you use in your fine art? I started with oils but prefer acrylics & gouache. Lately I'm into hand-binding books of altered/painted papers
No fr I spent 20hrs one one singular drawing of a car 💀 like yes my drawing was a few times bigger than her nails, but the faces are sooo good and she adds layers?? It’s so crazy how good she is
@@Stop_It_Just_Stop YESSS For studio art classes in high school and college I've definitely spent days on a 11x14 canvas' that are 1/4 as good as one of her nails
thats 2 weeks of a full time job, shes a talented artist for sure but this is her job and she makes thousands of dollars on each set of nails- most artists arent working 6-8 hours a day on a drawing. the smaller the canvas, the easier it is to create detail. shes amazingly talented but 65 hours isnt an 'only' kind of thing, its impressive she has the commitment to work for so long on them but again, if shes charging minimum wage just for her time (not counting materials or accounting for her skill or amount of requests) thats already 1000 dollars.
I totally see her nail sets being in the Smithsonian Museum of American Art one day. It's a unique & original 21st century creation!! She's documenting pop culture history so accurately in miniature, and she experiments with technological advances in materials. 🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏

This is why no one should dare complain about the price of her products. Not in a million years. So many could never do this, and the amount of time, effort, artistry, and skill it takes is amazing.
@@abogsted probably hard to estimate that as it depends on not only the design you want but also the length & type of the nails but no doubt they're pricey, which makes sense
@@catmerchant8699 there’s a huge range of prices, and I honestly think they’re fair. You can get sets for $49 that are beautiful, and even some with minimal special effects, but they don’t require as much skill and time to create. There’s a large range of prices that are clearly all taking into account the specific skills and time taken to create the set. There are plenty of beautiful sets on her site that do include line work, designs, and special effects that are ranged anywhere between $99 and $199. But there are sets that are cheaper than that and sets that are way more expensive. It’s also important to remember that these sets are meant to be reusable and long lasting. They are also not a necessity. This is someone’s art made per order and custom fit to you, and luxury items are expensive. Edit: spelling and to say, obviously length does affect price and it should.
@@catmerchant8699I think you may be potentially looking at a bundle? The custom ones are obviously going to be a lot higher price (deservedly), but I saw some pretty basic ones for around the $60, which is pretty common for acrylics.

@@crystalm4324Sean Connery was Bond before Lazenby. It’s Connery, Lazenby, Connery again, Moore, Connery yet again (in the non Broccoli movie, Never Say Never Again), Dalton, Brosnan, Craig. And afaik all the Bond movies were in colour - they began in 1962 and colour films were standard by then.

You're a freak, in the best way. Like ok, with enough time & patience, miniature realism is do-able. I never could wrap my brain around the mad length nails, the Cardi B talons, which seem to make life a hardship. But a set of your nails as wearable art? It’s like the party is right there!

I counted 22 vhs on ten nails but there's 26 bond movies, or 27 if you count the first Casino Royale from 1967 which played more like the naked gun movies. So based on 26 movies, I don't see "On her Majestys Secret Service", "Never Say Never Again", "Spectre", and what I think is one of the most underrated Bond movies and one you could really "BLING" to life, "Diamonds Are Forever". I absolutely love your talent and dedication!
