Westcott and Hort did not have the greatest greek text. Love J Vernon McGee except for his ideas about gap theory and the "oldest manuscripts". They used the Nestle-Aaland text which is a composite of manuscripts that disagree with each other in thousands of places and some omit verses altogether (codex vaticanus omits the entire book of Revelation). Textus Receptus is much more reliable.
Authorized version? It was authorized by king James of this earth that does NOT mean it was authorized by God. What I am saying that the King James Version is NOT the only version to be studied.
