It's interesting that a guy who mods/upgrades just about every sports car out there, and makes his own supercar, owns an SS himself--and obviously loves it. That really says a lot. Great commercial for the car.

It's the ultimate sleeper car. Reminds me of my old E55 AMG, cops would never look at it despite me modifying it to over 700 HP. :D

I almost cried when I found out they were being discontinued. It's sad knowing I'll never get to own a new one from the lot. I plan on graduating in one year with a BS in chemical engineering, hopefully by then there's another 4 door comparable to the SS. P.S. John, if you ever need an intern, I'm just an email away

It's actually from Australia originally it's called a SS Commodore they have been a stable mate in the Australian touring car championships for 30 plus years . sad that they only just moved into the American market as they have just discontinued them sad day really

Kind of. If anything it might be a 4 door gen 5 Camaro, because it's on the Zeta platform. It's not based on the Alpha platform like the gen 6 Camaro.

Chevy needs a sporty street car other than the Vette and the Camaro what about an Impala SS......AWD not that hard to build with V6 turbo power and a V8 supercharged version.

Chevy should have snuck a few LT4's in them. And not tell the press. Just adjust the price for the upgrade.

43 thousand for an SS? You guys got it good down there. Dealerships in the northeast are trying to get that price for a used one.

@ the 3:50 mark listen real good those business that try to sell exhaust and tune packages, when he did this Ss with 650 HP and stock as a rack exhaust system? So now you can get a Camaro 1LE with 650HP for 65K, so either buy a SS and get a supercharger put on or buy from the factory a camaro with supercharger ? Also downunder the camaro is 100K and no supercharger at all ?
