69 Bay window bus. Why won't my front cross member fit ??? Ordered an early Bay front cross member. They assured me it was the correct one. butI its way too short, turns out I needed a front cross member from an early split window bus.
We never really know what we’re getting until it arrives. I’m glad you found a good solution!! I really liked how your spot welder worked in your previous video too!!
That reminds me of ordering headlight buckets for my comet and they sent me ones for a falcon . When I picked them up they argued and said I was wrong. When I showed them the old rusted one... they had a dilbert moment but wouldn't exchange.
@@pstreetgarage7304 thank you for all your great videos. I was going to make a video yesterday, but I just couldn't make myself do it, we had some good storms leave me a mess to clean up lol I got myself a 72 f100 to mess with now as well
Dude.... your clipping along.... why do you have to notch out spaces? Wouldn't it be better to disconnect the items then fish then thru the holes? Not judging... 'Cause I don't know. Are there notches in the old part? I'm only asking because that double wall piece looks structural... I've been wrong more times than not... just curious. ... and, youre becomming quite the videographer.
Some are notched. Some aren't. The aftermarket ones have notches to make life easier I guess. Some tubes are underneath. Some are in notches some are in thru holes. I'm doing what's easy lol
It’s hard to trust aftermarket parts. Some retailers just don’t know because they don’t work on vws and are just employees. Sometimes the people who create the price stickers are wrong or put the sticker on the wrong part. Could be several issues. Bottom line is that it doesn’t fit. Hopefully you can send it back? If not maybe resell on the samba?
Who did you order from? Not all replacement metals are the same. I stick to European made metals and not cheaper Brazilian made metal parts. Busdepot seems to stock them in North America. Doesn’t matter as much since you have to replace your whole floor, but the Brazilian floors have a different rib pattern, so you can’t patch the floor of a European bus with this panels (even though the listings say you can).
I agree with you 100 percent. I order from CIP1 and Concept 1. Both in Canada so free shipping. The worse is the Klokkerholm. It's paper thin literally. I just ordered 2 complete dog legs. They look pretty good, was over 1100 dollars
