Memories it reminds me of my 70 roadrunner with a pistol grip shifter given her I had a 383 and blew it up so I put a 440 in it bought it of a Italian guy good dude give me a good price back in the day it was the 80s man I loved that car the cops hated me good video I like this better with the postal grip I watched other with the v gate it’s a little quicker with v gate but pistol grip is way cooler as I said before great video this car runs really good for a heavy car and a 383 I take this video is in Italy. you see peeps, there was RPM gauge on speedometer..these rides aint for everyone..coz these are muscles aka fun on steroidal ride!! love all muscle beauties!! i was listening to this video on my sony srsxb41 and my speaker was literally mimicing thump of the car like i am also in the car! woah, engine must be at healthy state, only 383 ci engine gave us such oomphic and thumping experience.
If it's the red button under the gauges in front of his shifter handle, it's probably a warning light in case one of those gauges is indicating something's too high or too low. Now if you're talking about the yellow light that keeps flashing, it lets him know that's the right time to shift since it's a racing gauge.
@@guadalupevasquez7260 I'm not exactly sure. I didn't see a button. Couldn't be nitrous, but if it's my guess, he could've installed a traction control system on it.

@@charlestoole1789 a misprint to be sure.....but with all the BS stories on youtube I still read crap fish stories stories about the guys who claim they had 426 "stock" Hemi's that did 12 flat in the 1/4 mile yet went 160 mph on the highway which is not possible.....same with hybrid owners that claim 60 mpg......
@@chadhaire1711 Yeah those numbers do not compute at all, I had a '69 Roadrunner back in my high school days and there after for some years. I spent a lot of time and money on that car after high school and it was eventually a very fast street car, but it took some machine work and that right components to really make it run. Hybrids making 60 mpg, it is possible but it would have to be all hwy miles, once they hit in town driving and traffic that falls dramatically.
That may be so but without this old rust bucket there would be no SRT anything.Show some respect,new muscle cars outperform the old cars in every way but there had to be an old car to improve upon son
@@Mrmatt-pt3xm That may be true but you miss the point....this Roadrunner is not stock by any means. In fact they all lied about horsepower back then. They claimed the 440-6 was 390 hp, and 426 hemi was 425 horsepower. What they did not say was these numbers were not real--they were taken with a bare engine sitting on a bench, with no muffler, no air filter, no belts. That is called the GROSS rating. But when the belts, air cleaner, and muffler were put on the engine, and sold to the customer in the car, the REAL horsepower of the 426 dropped to 350, and for the 440-6 dropped to 325. That is called NET horsepower. Starting in 1972 ALL cars have to be rated SAE-NET. The 2020 Dodge Charger with 5.7 V-8 puts out 375 NET hp, which is 25 more than the old 426 Hemi! All those bullcrap stories about the 426 really putting out 500 hp, but rating at a lower 425 to "fool the insurance companies" was total BS. Car makers NEVER under rated their engines....they actually OVER RATED them to sell cars! These videos being shown today with these old cars doing insane 12 second 1/4 mile times and fake 400+ horsepower listings are all BS! No production muscle car ever put out more than 375 hp back then....and none of them ever did better than 13.5 in 100% stock shape.

Pretty fast for a car that's made of steel and not plastic. Given that he does need to put more in the car to make it faster but 12.9 seconds isn't bad. Classic muscle cars deliver a lot of torque and horsepower so they take off pretty quick and they get up to speed fast. But if you think that's slow, check out the speed record of the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. NASCAR had to ban it back then because it was too dominant. It also made the speed record of 200mph with a 426 Hemi and a 4 speed transmission. It does a 1/4 mile of 105 mph though but the top speed is wicked on a car like that.
