Very cool setup but as for the wind simulator for immersion setup, you are in a cockpit that is closed.... you cant feel that wind.... you would instead feel wind from the A-10 Aircon or air vents. But I can see how it would help keep your headset cool and your head cool for extended periods of play. But again, kick ass setup.
thanks. its the closest thing i can get to flying. after i transitioned to Servo motors and the thanos controller, it just works. i was using another type of motor and arduino, and it was annoying to setup for a play session
Everything is cool. What I don't understand is how he took this bad performance as the one to post online. Nothing goes well ... lol Anyway, how do the ventilators add to realism? It is not an open cockpit jet.
It's a hassle to record and put together a video from multiple cameras. I share what I have..I can't just record a ton of video just to find a perfect shot.
you are mental and we all love it. I have used wind blower for my simracing rig, using simhub. How do you control them for dcs? what software? do you have a belt tensioner as well? Thanks!!
my wind blower is arduino based using code from flypt mover / silent chill/ avenga76, and the mover motion from flyPT is what i used to control it when DCS is on.. www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/mover-simulated-wind-arduino-sketch.14425/
Nice looking rig. I have a 3DOF rig and one day would love to move to a 6DOF rig for flying. One thing I noticed was that it appears you do not have a washout for your roll? I use roll rate with a washout. LP1, LP2, HP1. It gives a great effect when entering and returning from a roll. Yu don't want to feel 'leaning to one side" when during a constant rate turn. Thanks for the wind effect, which I will try to set up with FlyPT.
are you on discord? i like to see this washout. i believe i tried it, i wasnt crazy about how it felt, but the again i have no idea how it is supposed to be setup and feel... help a brotha! lol
@@Uploadvideoschannel bro are these 6dof simulators worth buying i got the money for it, but i just don't want to buy something and let it sit there and hardly play. any insight would help me buy or not.
@neverd1e it's tough to say. I think it's good if u have time and money for it. Have to admit I fly mainly with wind and shaker.. using motion gets involved to make sure I don't hurt myself or damage the rig. Start with setting up with and simshaker first
I don't use washout because I'm using telemtry by angle position and not angle velocity. Washout filter is good for angle velocity..it didn't work for me for angle position
Very cool setup. I don't get the fans though. Pilots don't typically fly with their canopy open. Would make more sense if the fans engaged when your canopy was jettisoned.
its all good. some ask why, but fans are awesome. it helps with wearing the VR headset cause when fans arent on, i feel sensation to sweat. also, when i am in cockpit, the fans are set to medium.. if i open the canopy, the fans will run at max.. to add to immersion.
I dont get full motion platforms, all that money, tech, maintenance, noise, space all to just end up right back where you started from: Unrealistic forces and movements!
It is on the loud side as it is "open" design... I made mine enclosed in alu profile and they were still relatively loud as it was resonating and then is silenced up when I've used bituminous mat to cover it...
