Thanks Robert. AR's are less forgiving as far as case prep is concerned. If you are going to resize brass from other calibers, I would invest in a chamber, headspace and case length gauge. Wilson and Hornady make these cartridge specific gauges. After all, if a cartridge won't safely or reliably chamber, what happens after doesn't matter. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Sure; Barrel 24" Twist 1-8

(Bolt action, semi-auto, lever action and pump action) have their own inherent differences. In my personal experiences, precision is better in a bolt action. However, accuracy comes from a combination of rifle, ammunition's, shooter's ability and consistency. The largest factor in accuracy is the operator. The elite completion shooters have thousands of rounds downrange and sub MOA is only acceptable to them. For me, as a hunter, hopefully needing only 1 shot and done, consistency and confidence of bullet placement on target is the highest priority, regardless of group size or platform. No I don't...In a previous video using .243 caliber hunting bullets, the ogive was running into the jam in less than recommended COAL. The ARC is designed for those longer sleeker higher BC bullets and I am limited by magazine length. So I just go by the book recommendation and adjust seating for consistency of feeding.

See my 6mm ARC playlist for a more thorough discussion on load work up. Yes, I started with Gas gun data and with a 24" barrel expected 150fps increase in speed. I worked up a little at a time to the de-constructed factory cartridge similar powder weight then changed to different powder experimentations. Thanks for your question.

Each cartridge "powder charge" is individually measured using a digital scale and Lee dippers.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 would you mind telling me what digital scale you’re using? It’s been my experience that if the digital scale is not a lab certified scale with a certified weight to calibrate then you could be off by as much as 2/10 of a grain. Look into a AutoTrickler v3 with an FX120i if you’re having any issues with charge weight or ES. In the 6mmARC it’s crucial to be exact since we’re trying to squeeze out the best accuracy.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 the Lee isn’t bad but even those can pose some issues besides powder leaking I’ve seen them vary in charge weight. If nothing else definitely look into a certified digital scale.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 I use lee Dippers onto a Hornady Electroic Scale then to a Lee Beam Scale. No Mistakes!
