@@ReloadingQuest He has done very well. He is working to get consistent at 300 yards. He has a goal of at least 400 this year to prepare for a western elk hunt in the near future.
I’m going to try some of these Blackhills 6MM arc. I have a 20” CMMG 6MM ARC gas gun, and I have tried all of the Hornady ammo. The best performer accuracy wise is the Hornady Black. (Not sure why the cheapest runs the best) but even with Hornady Black ammo, my gun just isn’t very accurate. I am hoping once I get my suppressor installed, maybe it’ll help accuracy some and with this ammo. I’m going to even try the Hornady 80 grain stuff too. My twist is a 1:7.5 and 20” barrel.
Your 22 ARC videos is also revealing you are getting 200fps below box velocity (granted your barrel is probably shorter). This too is also revealing you are bit more than 200fps below box velocity of the Hornady ELDX, granted this isn’t a Hornady load. I have never seen a video or any evidence of this cartridge doing near the box velocity and there is a lot of hush or BS to compare this cartridge to others on paper. I do accept plenty of satisfied hunters stories on light game and varmint or 500-1000m steel gongs. Perhaps 2500-2600fps and corresponding energy on light deer is nothing to hide and still effective.
