That's a bit better than the...ahem...'replica' that I saw back in the '80's. It was just a normal Metro with a 6R4 bodykit bolted onto it! The wheels were well inside the wheel-arches!
This looks Brilliant, the chassis looks like the replicas built from a jig using an original in the UK? All the attention to detail is amazing, especially the strut braces etc and suspension top mounts. Plus it's 4WD which most replica 6R4's don't seem to be.
Hi, very impressed by your car. With the engine and gearbox fitted in reverse to normal. Did you reverse the drive direction by flipping the differentials over.
Did you have documentation for where the suspensions needs to be? Or did you fabricate everything yourself?I’m in the proces of building one and need to fabricate the “subframe” but am wondering if there is Some information on how the original frame was besides the pictures from the internet. Can you e-mail me of possible
Hi john, awesome looking car. I'm starting a 6r4 rep and just wondering how and what exactly have you done to make this setup work. Even if you had photos that would be a massive help
It will be for sale when all the testing is completed.Should be done this summer unless there are complications.Keep a look out for parts 2 and 3 and thank you for your comments. John.
Hey john! This is amazing!! I'm really impressed, great work! Just wondering, which gearbox and diffs did you use at it appears to have 4wd! And its a cosworth v6 right? Easily the best 6r4 replica ive ever seen.. And ive researched them a lot! Haha :)
Thanks for the comments I'm glad you like it. You are correct it is a Cosworth BOA V6. Gearbox is a Cosworth MT75 4wd and the diffs are 2 x rear Cosworth LSD modified.
