In this video, i install a shift kit into a 6T70 Gen1 unit, i also touch on the Gen2 shift kit and show a common problem with the Accumulators on the channel plate. I mentioned i would try to show the install on a Gen2 unit but i had no time to film that, sorry. Off to the shop for a couple of hours. Thanks and enjoy the video

Thanks for another great video Gary. I always wonder why you aren’t concerned about punching the marks for the check balls on the channel plates ? Does it not affect sealing ?

No, it's ok, makes a small mark then i flat sand

Hi Gary, just wanted to ask if it needs a reflash/reprogramming of the TEHCM after installing the shift kit? I was doing some research and the other brand “Sonnax ZIP kit” indicates it needs “fast learn”. Just need your input as i am incline to do the shift kit

It would need the fast learn if the transmission was overhauled, are you just doing the Zip kit?

Can this be done without pulling thhe transmission?

The pressure reg valve is in the pump, all other valves in the valvebody, it can you just can't install the P.R Valve

Thank you. My main problem is i need to rebuipd the pressure switches so i was contemplating also doing the parts in the valve body that im able to do.
