Eric is not a jerk. This is clearly the writers' fault. This should've just married Eric and Donna and nothing would've changed. Just that they would be together forever. I never knew how much in common That 70s Show has with Game of Thrones.

If yr parents aren’t stupid or at least they use their head whenever the life of their kids is in question, then u will never turn into sister Eric. He made some really good decisions for himself but his stupid parents destroyed his life, poking their nose everywhere where it doesn’t belong. Until during the end of series when Eric realises that it’s his parents he needs to get away from, to be able to become independent and to make right choices.

I was certain that Donna would end up with someone else...maybe Fez , Hyde or Seth Green's character (don't remember his name) but I was proved wrong. Anyway, without Eric and Donna together as parents we would definitely not have the same lead character in that '90s show (Lea would not exist).
