Thank you I have owned this trucks since 96 and I thought I could shift but a lot of people are telling me that I can't I don't know everybody has an opinions.. thx
FLORIDA LIFE CLIPS no man you shift just like me. My dad taught me when I was 8. Alot of younger people my age say I shift weaird but alot of older people always ask when I learnt because I drive like them. So keep doing what your doing everyone has their own way and nice truck.
i know im late but do you have the factory dual mass? i was taught on a 460,4:10s zf-5. i bought my 94.5 stroker for 3500 in 2011. i dont run 2nd gear as hard as you do, but my is more like a harley..30mph in over drive...all you hear is turbo
I recognize that pedal squeak anywhere. It's the hydraulic cylinder. Must be a southbend? Went thru 3 sets before I switched to valair. Smooth and quiet now
I had a 5 in exhaust on my 94.5 but it got totaled so the 5 in is in the barn till next year where ill get it on my 97 i bought to replace it. Miss the growl. went from zf5 to e40d
Yeah, my e40d has 367k on it and it kinda lacks the power that a manual might have. I wish I had a manual in it. I hate my e40d, but I’m 16 so I can’t afford a zf5 conversion quite yet. I’m really wanting to do it in the future.
Yeah I have a 84 95 With a 95 front end and 7.3 with the ZR5 Is 3" downpipe diamond downpipe To 4" to 5" to 6" Dozer pipe Right out the back Window straight piped the whole way
I just got myself a 7.3 and I would love to straight pipe it. But I plan on doing some long hauls with it and I'm not sure if the drone in the cab would get annoying after 6+ hours of driving down the freeway. How would you say the drone is, cause I know videos don't always do things justice.
As long as the pipe is sticking straight up in the air or your straight pipe it all the way to the back of the truck like it originally came out of the factory you won't have a problem. If you dump it on the ground near the cab you're going to hear it's going to echo it crazy
I have a question. I want to get more into trucks and I want a manual 7.3. I’ve seen some that are 5 speed and some that are 5 but have an extra thing labeled “L” (low) on the shifter. What is that for and what does that mean for the truck?
Is there a reason for letting the RPMs drop damn near to idle before you let the clutch back out again? Or is it just your style of shifting? Either way nice sounding truck.
I just read every comment and people repeatedly said you can't shift which isn't true, you shift just fine. If you ain't grinding gears you're shifting right
My truck doesn't whistle at idle like yours. Was there a big difference between the stack vs just a straight pipe. Also does yours lope at start up too?
You should get your injectors tested (especially you have cold starting issues) because your spool valves in the injectors are getting worn out unless it’s At or below freezing then it’s normal
Such supidity can be criticize at the same time saying whether its powerstroke or not, because mostly everyone of us know its sound in comparison to an idi, so why act like that?
@@FLORIDALIFECLIPS I was trying to mean if back then when in the late 90's the 7.3s were around, if straightpiping or modifing a stock 7.3 like installing better turbo, or tuner was around, but maybe there might not be an accurate answer?
@@Miguel_Cam To answer your question around my neck of the woods, Ford diesel country, that squished looking restrictive down pipe was the first thing to go on brand new trucks and I must add, what do you mean when the 7.3 were around ?, a good most still are and motoring right on past many failed attempts to build a decent diesel pickup since.
Hoss Paschal No problem it's very easy to do and cheap the most expensive thing you're gonna run into is buying the stack if you're handy With a Welder Weld one up like I did.
One Love Everybody shifts differently. I don’t care that you drive an 18 speed and get paid to shift. I haul grain on my farm all the time with an 18 speed, one of my trucks being a twin stick. And I’m also a semi truck mechanic at my second job. But that doesn’t give me the right to be a cocky asshole and judge everybody else’s shifting techniques. There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
You must be a swift driver, here is a tip for you Swing Wide It's a Fucking Trailer. Fucking duchebag steering wheel holder, you don't float a syncronized transmission dumb fuck. Your not even supposed to float a truck transmission, your supposed to double clutch, now it's not terrible if you float if you know what your doing but I'm sure you don't since you point out that people are doing something wrong when they are actually right.
