We have all of those in South Texas. I especially despise the scorpions.

I value my health, so if something causes me to be ill, than not my favorite. Hawaii has Mosquitos and at one time they were suspected of carrying the zeka virus and tourists were prohibited from going to certain popular areas for a while... So I do NOT like them! LOL... Not a big fan of cockroaches either... In my area I really dislike Yellow Jackets and most wasps or stinging insects.... I don't like to poison things... Prefer to trap them. Paradise has it's trade-offs... Thanks for the video! :)

I love the golden orb weavers. Their webs are so gorgeous. Even our exterminator prefers to leave them alone.

I love my cat. Rescued pregnant, now mom of 5 and spayed, but she is a devoted hunter of cockroaches and she takes them outside for me❤ Excellent bug show. Thank you!👍

I'm glad you don't use toxic sprays. They kill butterflies and bees. Butterflies migrate through Mexico

Hola Tamara! Since you have lived in two MX areas - would you consider video content comparing Aijiic vs Chapala vs San Antoine (where you are?) vs another top location?? Im arriving apx May 19 initially staying at Vida Bella though researching for affordable living area/apartment at the start of my journey via facebook. Upon arrival Im sure Ill do tours. (ease of balancing social activity vs budget vs transportation vs ?? safety vs ??????) Eventually I will volunteer - maybe location can be near volunteer area. Suggestions will be amazing. Gracias!

This is such a great idea and I meant to do a comparison video, but the weather was just so horribly hot and things don't look very appealing when everything is so dry. I have this on my list of videos because it is an excellent suggestion. I do have a video on Ixtlahuacan and Jocotepec, but not the other towns in the Ajijic area. I hope you enjoyed your visit here....or move.

I leave out boric acid mixed with sugar at night to kill roaches, left in a saucer or lightly sprinkled on the counter and floors. You can use Diatomaceous earth, also finely sprinkled or blown lightly with an inexpensive bulb that's sold. It's the scorpions here that freak me out - I'd never seen one before.

Thank you for these tips! I spent good money on some traps from Amazon Mexico and the cockroaches just walk past them and have parties on top of them! I'm going to track down boric acid. I really haven't seen any scorpions for a couple of years, so they aren't that prevalent here. The bobo's are already back this year!!

@@anythingispossiblenow Bobos already? I haven't been outside due to a broken leg, but I'll be healed in time for all the hot weather bugs! The boric acid is available at hardware stores here and is non-toxic to people and animals. The bugs around here sure have attitude, don't they? I've been taunted by the larger cockroaches and had small spiders actually chase me. If you hear about a good solution for mosquitos, aside from sitting next to a fan, I'd love to know about it. 🙂

@@Renee60722 I've been using an herbal insect repellant made by Botica Jalisciense. They have a store by the San Antonio Hospital. I haven't had any mosquitoes yet this year, but it works well to repel flies which bother me on my paito. Hope your leg is better soon!
