I got some of the Liebenzeller rosin based on your recommendation. So far, I like it much better than the Pirastro I was using. The Liebenzeller is easier to apply because it is softer and I like the tone I get with it more than the Pirastro.

My go to rosin is always Hindersine. I have 3 cellos and each of them have a cake of Hindersine rosin and I keep one out of the case when I'm practicing at home. I love those pencils, I have to look for them. I'm still old-school about music, but if I am using my computer and I'm on Finale, as the accompaniment plays, the pages scroll on their own. I have a Samsung Tab E, it's just a bit too small for music to read, but if I am playing elsewhere I have my one binder with music in it. Two of my cellos have Larsen strings on them and one set is newer than the other. They are expensive. My goal is to devote more time to practicing, I have been so busy, but I need to make time to practice.

Please can u do a review of the dominant pro strings! … I’ve heard mixed things about them for violin but not much for cello

I ordered the Liebenzeller rosin and an Artino magnetic pencil set. You get 2 pencils (only 1 magnet) and they come in different colors. The K&M only comes in black and would be easy to lose (I got red). EDIT: I forgot to notice that my new RatStand only has one place where it isn't plastic or aluminum, where the magnetic pencil will stay put. Fortunately, it's front and center, right below the bottom shelf. Phew!! Close call!
