Great video! I sometimes sit down with a notebook and watch my demos and for each time I die I write down one or more reason as to why I died. This gives me a bit of structure when analyzing my demos

liking the vid so far(i do lesson 1 too much out of low confidence). About audio mixing tho, since the music is chill beats, it should be a fair bit quieter and "in the background" rather than the foreground

Love it! everyone should watch their demos and see how many mistakes they make... Its really good. But lesson 3 where you said you dont need to do more than throw the smoke, I think the flashes are great. Even if they dont hit anyone they will make the guy on site nervous and he may comm that its a hit. or ask for a rotate. They add some urgency. Obviously It didnt work out. But that position long is really strong, you could have waited for plant and then lurked behind while your teammate rotated con.... Hindsight is 2020 but I think you made it sound worse than it was. Love the video as always.

Love your content Wilson. Hope it doesn’t come off the wrong way, but you’re a very relatable player. You’re good, but not insane carry status, so I feel motivated seeing you as faceit10 because it makes me feel like one day I could get there too. I heard you say somewhere you’re in consulting. CRE by chance?
@WilsonCS2
@WilsonCS2 7 месяцев назад
Thank you bro! I totally understand that, and don’t consider myself to typically that type of player either. I think the CS community has this idea that level 10s are absolute gods and will dominate every lobby when that’s just not the case. Getting level 10 is about consistency, not about spurts of insane gameplay. I’m sure you can get there with me too. I’m not in CRE and can’t really go into detail, but sounds like you’re in consulting too which is dope!

Lesson 3 instead of even rotating through connector to B, wait until the bomb can be planted at B then creep up on A and behind whoever would be there, then pinch them heaven/pit with your teammates at B

Hey Wilson. I'm wondering why it's expected to smoke off the short molly as T as you mention around 1:16? Can they not be around monster and just wait for molly to dissipate before trying for a push?
@yoshimurahirihito
@yoshimurahirihito 7 месяцев назад
If you have someone to flash you into short and someone holding con this can work, but as a rule of thumb you're too slow and they can be 4b as to do this you only have 1 a lurk. It'll also be much worse fights if they can be anywhere on short as opposed to only at the ct entry to it.
@WilsonCS2
@WilsonCS2 7 месяцев назад
^ this comment explains it well! As a T, you have the best chance at taking short at the very beginning because you know that the CTs will be swinging from site. The longer you wait, the more places the CTs could be, the harder it is taking short

So when you’re looking for a demo to review what are good things to look for? I noticed this was a win that you still looked at, were your mistakes noticeable in the moment?
@WilsonCS2
@WilsonCS2 7 месяцев назад
Definitely one where it feels like you could’ve done more. In this I felt like if I had done more, it wouldn’t have gone to ot. I think watching demos is best to inform your own decision making, so games where your decisions didn’t work are great to watch
@sammya7117

Another absolute banger as always. Question - every single time i try to watch a demo on CS2, my entire game crashes. Every single time. Is that a me problem? Or a wider issue with a fix i dont know about?

I'd say it's important to point out that in lesson 2, an equally important factor for the death/loss was the lack of armor even though there was plenty of money available. I'm assuming this happened because of an eco win in the previous round and then forgetting to buy armor which happens from time to time, so I'd say that would be a small tidbit to point out for others to more actively think about!
@WilsonCS2
@WilsonCS2 7 месяцев назад
Yup hahaha good eye. I didn’t even notice it when doing the demo review- super important to double check you have full armor after an eco win

I think in lesson 2, crosshair placement might also have been an issue. Aiming close to the corner only counters someone planning to stop right in the middle of the molly. If you held wide towards the edge of the fire, I think you're heavily favored in that fight. Love your work, I've learned a lot. ✌️
@WilsonCS2
@WilsonCS2 7 месяцев назад
Absolutely- my crosshair was way too close to an angle that they would only fast swing out of
