APC was based in my home state of Rhode Island here in the US. There was some manufacturing done here . They have been bought out and I believe they out source a lot of the manufacturing now.

It's like the moment you get sort of caught up in having space and room in your garage, you get flooded with scrap. Granted, that just means money, but damn that must get exhausting as well.

Some places in the US do have junk weekends, Mustie1 showed one in New Hampshire once, but here in Tulsa, OK we book a large item pickup. They’re so picky as to be useless making a thriving industry for junk men. City won’t take a refrigerator with the doors still on?!? Rented a 7 cu yard dumpster into our driveway and piled it full, they knew the refrigerator was in there btw.

Those Eaton UPS's must be quite old. They use 36v 16ah LIFEPO4 packs now.

I once had a mega ups with 24 little batteries it weight about 80 kilo so first i broke my back and than it shocked me there is good value in them but not my favorite to scrap

I've been going out to the clean ups the last 4 weeks up here in Sydney and have been doing alright, i find i get more stuff and better stuff when i am not really out looking or in the next suburb from the clean up lol

We in Canada have "Victoria Day" in May on Monday preceding May 25th. This year it was May 18th. This celebration is Queen's Victoria birthday who was born on May 24, 1819. So it's a "long weekend" before May 25th, if it makes any sense. Now it's just "any Queen birthday". It might change when we get a King. Canada is still a constitutional Monarchy, although I don't think we send any money to UK. Oh, and although it's a Federal holiday, it's only celebrated as such in 6 out of 10 Provinces.

She has two birthdays real is April. But The so-called official one is in June due to in years gone by Some King decided it would be better to have an official birthday in the middle of the year so people could come out and celebrate as his particular birthday was in the winter
