@@joeymontana1056she made a wicked face at super stinky tofu in one video but I can't remember where they were at? There was an old lady just cracking up behind her.
A rare opportunity to see Ms. Bacons actually squicked out by foods! 😂 Can't blame her, I also would have to draw the line at snakes and bugs! Bless the Baconses though for showing us unique foods! ❤
I'm from Florida, so I can tell you alligator meat is very common here. Alligators are abundant to the point of being a nuisance. There's an entire restaurant chain, Gator's Dockside, which includes gator meat on their menu.
I've had gator meat its quite delicious. Reminds me of turtle meat. I lived down in Florida for a long time. But I think now that pythons ate taking over the everglades they should learn to cook with them too. I've had rattlesnake at a festival out west amd it's not bad either. I bet Pythons are more meaty
What does it taste like? Do they do newts too? I only ask cause if so many cowboy movies of that type of thing, either a small croc over a fire or a dead newt. I’ve never tried crocodile.
0:58 Miss Bacons' face. She is just adorable and brave. I could not eat the grub. I like it better when she has her pretty smile on. Thank you for trying the foods and sharing the video. I really like the market ones.
The live shrimp are actually really delicious, minus the fact that they have really sharp noses 😆 Fun fact: The live shrimp are called “Dancing Shrimp”!
I had insects at Phuket, crocodile in Texas and Florida. Growing up in the Philippines we have live shrimp that we soaked in spicy vinegar and chased it down with gin or beer.
As an American, I wouldn't mind eating everything up until the live shrimp and squid. Crocodile and durian is the most normal to me since durian is just a fruit and I've had alligator before so I doubt crocodile is that different in taste. The bugs aren't that bad looking either, but Idk if I could eat a Sago Grub XD. I hate the look of large bugs.
there are several of these things i'd be so happy if i got to try. the octopus leg and the crocodile especially looked so tasty. i don't think i'd be able to contain my excitement at a night market like that.
That octopus stick is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life and I'm never gonna be able to overcome it. Excuse me, while I end my existence ...
2:48 it taste like fried fish because its been soaked in oil from being deep fried in oil too long. most likely dont change the oil for what they deep fry. usually dont deep fry different tasting foods in same oil. it comes off on the food.
Is that a mini-bacon? this is the first time I have seen her. Good video. I would try the snake, no problem but probably not one of the grubs. grasshopper, possibly.
Oh Mrs Bacons is so brave, better her than me for eating bus hahaha. I would 100% eat the Octopus and Gator plus I'd try the Snake and Durian! No thank you on the mini shrimp salad and squid shot though.
I've waited years to see a durian anywhere that I've lived in the United States, but never have. However, thanks to your channel, I found out that I could order some that is freeze dried. It arrived and I'll be trying it tomorrow! I'm so excited to finally get to answer that question for myself: will I like it or not? 😄🎉
@@nerwinter158 I am a little sad to say that I guess I'm not a fan! I would certainly eat it in an emergency, and I might even be able to grow to like it over time, but it's certainly a fruit you fully experience. It mostly has savory and rotten components for me, and when I think "yay, fruit!" I'm always going to hope for something sour or sweet. 😀 Nevertheless, I am so happy I finally got to try it, and I look forward to seeing what some of my other relatives think, too! 😄
I'm Thai. Since I was born, I've never seen fried snake in Thailand before. It's a very strange thing. It is impossible for Thai people to sell fried snakes. But it might be a Cambodian shop, which there are a lot in Thailand. They have fried snakes for sale in Cambodia.
Well insects are over infested and over populated pretty much everywhere so it’s good that some people are eating them lol. I’ve tried crickets and grasshoppers and they really don’t taste like anything, just a nice crunch. I am not sure about the other ones though lol. I think i’d draw the line at the insects with legs, the worms gross me out too much. Gator is good it just tastes like chicken to me since it’s white meat. And octopus is DELICIOUS cooked or sashimi style. I love octopus. It’s very chewy and slightly naturally sweet and savory.
The octopus looks so good! I could go for some of that. I’ve actually had alligator meat but would love to try crocodile meat. As for the bugs and snakes, it’s a hard no from me.
Glad you got to try gator its actually quite delicious if prepared well, snakes i think i would only eat during survival situations but they are known to taste like chicken if prepared well
