He’s a dick on the court though. But he’s a cant miss prospect and the people all saying “he has to build up his body” don’t know what they’re talking about. He’s naturally going to fill out but it’s irrelevant because he’s going to end up a 7 foot tall small forward. In their heads they think 7 foot tall means inside player but he’s going to be a killer from 3 and his length will let him guard quicker players.
@@robert2690 what do you mean, are suggesting he could use more fat? or just not try to get stronger? He is literally 190 Lbs. he needs to add weight and get stronger no matter what.
Marino aint giannis 7 ? anyways i was replying to your “big and atheletic” as all the names i mentioned are big and athletic, esp Wilt and Kareem and Giannis . Shaq is a tank but cant move as fast as the other 3 . also to add up, i should gave put AD, Karl-Anthony and Embiid into that list too . all of em are 7 footer with high athleticism
@@robert2690 i dont give a shit if humble is overused. Btw your last 3 comments have been hating on this guy dude? Mad cuz you never reached a sliver of your potential as a ball player?
Yep. For injury prevention/longevity, speed/agility and strength to play defense and bang on the boards. KD is one of a kind, you can't expect him to live up to one of the greatest scorers of all time.
To be a big guy, he's ball handling skills are off the charts! Reminds of Anthony Davis, just in the fact that he was trained to play at the guard position and literally can play any position now.

Included in his skills of being a combination of Pete Maravich and Rick Smits is the fact that he is also an academic 5-star like Bill Bradley and Jerry Lucas. Even though he'll only play one year of college, I hope he goes to the highest academic school possible. Go to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, or if you want to play big time, go to Northwestern, Stanford, or Vanderbilt. I wouldn't be surprised if Holmgren and Suggs both end up at Gonzaga thanks to assistant coach Roger Powell having a multi-year relationship with both. Richard Pitino's future at Minny might rest on being able to get Holmgren.
Porzingis, with more aggression. He definitely has the potential to be a much better ball handler and playmaker tho, hes nice. If he ever starts getting his diet proper and lifting weights.... could be something interesting. He seems really smart as well and humble hopefully everything he dreams for happens because seeing unique basketball stories develop is always dope.
@@BigBroTech4U because most player’s now don’t stay in college, if they did, and you took the top NBA player’s from each school, Gonzaga wouldn’t make the top 10
Sam bowe and Greg Odom what freak accidents. Good luck young man. Sign with Wisconsin or Michigan State, or The university of Florida, then we will see you in the big leagues. God bless.
@@scottiebarnes7417 once every year stuff. Go back and look at all the number 1-3 draft pick’s, and most of the 7 footer’s are bust’s. Thank you NBA for getting rid of the inside game, but you couldn’t switch on Hakeem
He's just a junior. He can put on a lot of muscle senior year. Kid a agile and he can shoot. How many centres can do that? Or better said, how many 7-footers?
Heat Seeker for starters no idea why your bringing up shooting but at the professional level almost every player regardless of size can shoot at least 33% from 3. Not that I criticized his shooting or even brought it up
How did you play power forward in HS and college being so short? I feel like I was a short guard at 6'1". Was definitely taller kids in school playing down low
@@SuperMontsta my high school team only had 3 players taller than me. I was a good rebounder, so even tho I wanted to play guard and had the handles for it, my coach made me play PF. I wasn't a very good 3pt shooter and I led our league in rebounding my senior year so he may have been right.
i went to HS with Drew Eubanks (Spurs PF/C) (s/o Reynolds HS) he was freshman when I was a senior, and he had just started hooping. he was 6'5 & weighed maybe a buck 50. he is probably a solid 240-250 and he got a lot stronger, so i'm looking forward to seeing what Holmgren can do
Chet Holmgren reminds me a lot of Tom McMillian who played at the University of Maryland during the early 1970's. During their high school years Bill Walton (West Coast) and Tom McMillian (East Coast) were the top high school recruits in the United States. I find that Chet Holmgren has a similar body build when Tom McMillian was at that age.
@@robert2690 you are a straight up clown dude, sure "anyone could use weight" but this kid is a fucking stick, if he want's to make it to the next level he needs to add weight
@@Donnie-sg2cj I don't disagree and the chances this kid even makes the NBA is very very slim. I was more making a comment that bodytype is not that critical in today's basketball. Gone are the days where you had to be strong and have an inside game. The rules killed that.
As someone who has watched him multiple times at Minnehaha Academy he has absolutely exceptional fundamentals. He almost never fouls, he can get 10+ block shots in a game while also never swatting the ball out of bounds, and he also a very good ball handler surprisingly. He's not a big scorer, but that is a product of having Suggs on the team with other great players. He is the real deal. He doesn't really have any holes at all to his game.

Kid definitely has skills, 1st thing I thought when I saw him(like a lot of you) was get this kid something to eat and get him in the weight room! He said he grew 7 inches in 8th grade I believe so that's just a couple years back, maybe he will start to bulk up soon. High school he will be fine, college he will manage but get pushed around at times but in the big game he will get down right bullied! Seems like a great kid though, I hope he stays humble and hungry!(pun intended) I will be watching to see how it all works out for him, Goodluck Chet. Oh and I'm sure since you've blown up that you have a lot of "new friends", keep good people around you bud 🤞
Man and he still growing, maybe not height wise but he will put weight on qnd if he makes it muscle he will be a beast. Hopefully doesn't get too big but man he has a future for sure.
I wish him the best, but he is definitely not humble at all. He will learn the hard way his frosh year of college, but that is part of the learning process and growing as a man and a player.
Dudes goin far because he's bright. Not just a meathead, dude understands what hes gotta do and how to get there. Cant wait to see him in college and the nba
