If I can be totally honest. I bought this controller thinking this would be a great starter controller. Im still happy I bought this because its an incredible controller, but learning it has been quite the battle. But so much fun and rewarding when you get it right

I had been using DJAY Pro and a Mixon 8 which were also great, but I wanted to switch to the "industry standard" layout so I'd be ready to hop on shared decks in the future. Thanks for this vid!

Had my flx 10 since launch and played around with it daily to explore.. I knew I was missing some nuggets and since watching your videos I love this machine even more.. keep up the good work

I like the beat jump button + jogwheel to scroll through the track, great tip. I still have a DDJ RX2 and always use the strip to scroll through a track.

Hi Phil - Thank You for this video - i have not used my Flx 10 at all wedding yet - need some more practice first ! I keep hitting the effects button instead of play on the right deck Lol 😂- best piece of gear i ever purchased! I saved the setting Utility on my MacBook in the Dock permanently! Just got a case made by Magma - called the Magma Lite XL size ! It’s really nice - the pioneer case is terrible i returned it ! You guys are so Awesome in what you do
In our opinion there is a lot more to wedding DJing than that, based upon the top-end wedding DJs who perform wedding music like club DJs and charge accordingly.
@@digitaldjtips my experience it’s 70% requests driven by the bride or bridesmaids. And everyone is drunk. As long as you play what she wants you get paid. Hahaha. Because a wedding isn’t your performance it is Her day. She’s the boss. I just keep the boss happy. Sometimes the best dj is the one who is just background music. But maybe I don’t know shit…
Nice video! Very informative.. Just figured out how to properly cue songs with different bpm’s so I’ll definitely be using that shift/volume feature. Question: Is there a way to change the sound (crispness) for the jogwheel?

nice tips! however, I'm not sure you can call a controller like the flx10 a "glorified keyboard". it has its own displays, it has a built-in audio interface with both digital to analog and analog to digital convertors, it has phono preamps, it has a standalone mixer, it has a full suite of built-in hardware effects... that's a lot of processing power for a keyboard the ddj-200 is a true glorified keyboard, but imo, the flx10 is more than that
Do you think that Serato will ever bother to update the DDJ-FLX10 integration to have it "all"... Seems like it's missing a lot compared to RekordBox, which is a shame because I love using SoundSwitch with Serato, and the stems are waaaaaay better.

PLEASE HELP: My Jog Wheels dont have double waveforms... I tried the Shift with page, nothing happens just the BPM shows with time. Like on the Serato Jogwheels. Ps: im using Serato. 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧
I recently purchased the flx10, I haven't been able to make it work with Serato DJ, it has an echo effect stock on every song I play, I deleted and re install the firmware but does the same., and no I don't have the effect button turned on, any ideas that would help me?, thanks in advance.

We do not accept money from anyone, ever, to make any content. There are things that are unique or unusual on this unit. As a DJ school we know what our students sometimes haven't figured out, and we enjoy sharing them. If we're not for you, that is also fine. Thanks for the feedback.
Pioneer sucks Pioneer cnt even fix there own products I had 3 Pioneer cd burners 500. Each and I brought my Pioneer burners to get fixed and they couldn't even fix them .I will nvr buy Pioneer ever . Pioneer is garbage.

Hold Shift - Press Back on left deck. That will take you into the Utilities Menu. Rekodbox or Serato should not be running. Just power on the Controller.
@@zeroChannelJJ utilities menu is only for serato DJ pro and virtual DJ settings It has nothing to do with the actual hardware settings on the controller and these are completely overrided by rekordbox as well
