Great videos, keep them coming. Nice to see a fellow Wisconsinite make these kind of videos, I’m in Green Bay. I purchased a 3rd gen tacoma last year and been building it little by little. Nothing crazy yet, mild lift, K02’s, lights.. a bunch of guys and myself plan on doing this trail this summer. Some of the guys going did Moab last month.
By any chance last year the week after labor day in September were you guys in the up pulling a small trailer with the green suv? If so i got you guys on gopro@Parker_Fuller
Looks fun! Stopped at that exact gas station in Houghton a couple times on my way up to Copper Harbor. Wondering if my Outback on some ATs would be able to do much of this. Im gonna be doing the TWAT later this year and im pretty confident with that one.
Thanks for the video. My wife and I, and our daughter and her family are planning on taking the trail. We're originating in NW Indiana. We'd like to drive up through Chicago and Wisconsin and then, after we reach Keweena Pt, we plan to drive back on the eastern side of Lake Michigan. Do you have a suggestion for trails/roads to use to head south east from Keweena Pt? Thanks
If you take the 7hr PCT up, south Man Dan Road is a good way to come down the south east side of the Keweenaw Peninsula- as far as coming down the east side of Lk. Michigan, I know the main highway that follows the edge of the UP to the bridge is all along the water and scenic- once in lower MI I don’t have a good suggestion.
Your video was great and have inspired my group. We have paddled the entire lower Wisconsin River and looking for another activity. When traveling the 7 hour plane crash trail would a small sport utility vehicle like an all wheel drive Ford Escape be durable and have enough ground clearance with good all season tires able to make it from Crandon Wi to Copper Harbor MI?
The short answer would be no unfortunately. You would be fine on some of the Forrest service roads, but a good portion of the trial would be un-drivable without damaging the vehicle.
@@Parker_Fuller that is what I anticipated, but was hopeful. In your opinion, we are a group of 50 year olds that love being out in nature and camping. If we were to invest in capable vehicles, would this be an area where we could find dispersed camping with opportunities to do a little fishing along the way? Thanks for the response!
