Would be interested in seeing a video on Japanese musicians influencing the fashion industry. The V-Kei subgenre comes to mind, but surely that's not the end of it.

another honourable mention is Kenji Yanobe, his installation with Issey Miyake was one of my favourite collaborations between a Japanese artist and Japanese fashion designer

I discovered KYNE a few weeks earlier when looking for an artist’s skateboard deck set. I really like KYNE because it reminds me a lot of the American artist, Patrick Nagel. Really simple and clean and works on virtually any clothing as a design/patch and so on.

I went to the Yayoi Kusama exhibit at the National Art Centre in Roppongi Hills back in 2017, it was awe inspiring the amount of pieces they had on display for the collection and I hope we get a WTH episode soon!

I'm a massive fan of Feebee's work. Her chimeras are jawdropping and she recently released bomber jackets, dresses and bags as part of a collab. I think she is incredibly talented, I hope more people discover her work and does more in fashion.

I’ve already been a fan of Japanese art and artistry. Could you create a brand around historical artist. Not just from Japan. Having each collection directly inspired by different artist and their work. As long as it’s referenced I’d be interested on seeing peoples take on their art. I really like this concept as well as the robot art. I’ve seen it a lot but never knew where it came from. I think there is even a band art cover similar to it. Which is funny because I saw it in family guy😂

KYNE reminds me of another Japanese artist that has a similar pop art aesthetic called Backsideworks. Don't know if you've also heard of them but their "Valiant Girl" work has been pretty popular as of late in Japan. Great video as always!

love your video as usual but why are you butchering the name « Comme des garçons » each time you say it : are you mad at them or something ?

Comme des Garcons is a French name by a Japanese owner. I say it that way to kind of make fun of the fact that neither Japanese nor English speakers say it correctly. In Japanese it's COMU DE GYARU SON, which sounds odd but I find it hilarious every time I have to use it in Japan. In English I have to say CoHm De GARHSON which is butchered like crazy. So I decided if I'm gonna butcher it why not TRY to butcher it like in French. But to answer your question I have the UTMOST respect for Kawakubo Rei-san and her label Comme des Garcons
