7 lead 6 bight turk's head 

In this tutorial I demonstrate how to expand a 5 lead 4 bight turk's head into a 7 lead 6 bight turk's head.

This knot is a commonly used one, not only as a decorative knot, but also as a base for interweaves such as the pineapple knot. It looks very nice when doubled as well and can serve as a nice heel knot for a whip, flogger or any kind of handle.
By trying this expansion, note the few steps required to expand the knot. You can then apply the same process to expand the knot again and again, which can become a powerful tool as a braider.
