This is very sweet and thoughtful..yes I wish the same for all woman this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face at 50 ..2024 please be kind to us all 🫶🏼
The health anxiety over this is awful, I'm in tears most days wondering is it something other than menopause or is it menopause. I can't stand this, this is absolutely brutal what we go through 😢
Yes! Since entering the last leg of my transition... Entered menopause this year. It's been horrible. Never mind the hot flashes the night sweats the mood swings. Those are child's play. Anxiety over my health: my heart my arteries, my brain my legs... The panic and mental attacks that sets in physically is overwhelming. I have found a few things that do help me... But sometimes I just want to give up
My first 3 years going into menopause was the worst. It does get better, and hrt does help with some things, but not all. Doesn't help with anxiety with me unfortunately.
@@sandraflavius6144 My OBGYN said she didn't recommend bioidentical or HRT... Because of the risks. But I have found that increasing my vitamin C... Either naturally through lemons and tangerines or through natural supplementation: rose hips or acerola cherry does help! It seems to lessen my hot flashes. I've also started adding a pinch of salt to my water in the morning... This has helped immensely as well. And I do well to take one banana daily for the potassium.
Yes the health anxiety 😩😩😩terrible. I’m experiencing allergies sinus and headaches all for the first time in peri menopause it’s frightening and frustrating. Anyone else ??
I’m going through all of this right now! Some of the things she mentioned I had no idea were related to menopause. The joint pain and itching your skin till it bleeds, I mean who knew? I definitely believe that diet is a huge impact on all of this. Have not tried the collagen, but will certainly look into it. I teared up, knowing that I’m not crazy. Someone else has going through what I’m going through. Thank you and please don’t stop producing videos so we know that we’re not alone.
Yes I have the health anxiety, the itching I thought was something else going on like bugs, I have so much aching and pain and I am 55yrs old, the middle age spread isn't good..I am barely eating and totally off carbs and now a piscatarian and still can't lose that last 20lbs, terrible gas and diarrhea which is also due to my IBS, brain fog and short term memory loss makes me worry about dementia, thank you for enlightening us on this stage we must go through, and I pray for all women everywhere🙏🏼❤️
The very worst symptom here is the health anxiety. Or imho, it is just the crazy amount of symptoms that prop up. I used to wonder why people ignored symptoms when they got older... but now I know... because once menopause hits... you have about 18 concerning symptoms a day... and, if you get them checked out, they usually turn out to be nothing. Women's health is never going to be good until we get better ways to test for serious issues. (such as a liquid biopsy).
Thanks for this video. I have been convinced im dying slowly. The fatigue, and all the other miserable symptoms are terrifying at times. The weight gain is depressing! Im so frustrated !
I was diagnosed with menopause in summer 2023 all of the above are present with me ..I’m dealing with a lot of symptoms at times I felt I was going insane..at 42 I had a partial hysterectomy and my life has never been the same.thank you for sharing all this I know now I’m not crazy or alone..I wish this upon no woman I’m almost 50 but the last 3 years have been awful for me presently I’m trying to deal with this one day at a time because every day is different..the worst part for me is the unexplained from the Drs and at times feel alone 😔 I’m glad your videos are a huge help explaining the unexplained 🫶🏼
@@trisha2361 No i no longer get periods since my partial hysterectomy I still have my ovaries but now facing ovaries removal because of cyst ☹️ I was diagnosed with menopause last summer because of many issues like night sweats extremely dry skin brain fog 😶🌫️ and mood swings and extreme sensitivity among many other unexplained symptoms by my OBGYN
Thank you for giving a name to why I’ve been so focused on every little twitch and pain. Health Anxiety. I thought I was just going crazy or just too hyper focused on my health since I turned 60 last year. My doctor says the blood work looks good and I look great, so now I can calm down because I have a real name to my feelings. I entered menopause at 48 and it’s been a roller coaster ride. Dealing with it as naturally as possible. Diet, exercise, sleep, supplements etc… Glad I found your channel I am sure your advice will be very helpful. 😊
Every day is an adventure for me. I never know what symptoms I'll have or go through. I honestly can't stand the electricity pulses that zap anywhere in my body at any given hour. People think I'm crazy when I cry out in pain or say ouch. The other one is the constant joint pain. I am so glad that I found your channel. Supplement really does help. I learned to keep them in stock because when I run out of them, it's like 10-fold pain! 😢 I'm thankful for you and for all of us going threw this. It truly does help talking about this. I'm not going crazy. This is real.
The itchiness for me is terrible! It's constant, all day, every day. The right side of my back is so itchy that I carry a retractable back scratcher with me at all times! I never thought it could be a symptom of menopause. Thanks for educating us. 😊
This video came at the right time! My health anxiety was ramping up again today with all the body twitches/cramps/aches and this helped to calm me down. I am going to save this and rewatch when needed to calm myself. I had no idea about skin itch...I was getting embarrassed during the holidays with all the scalp scratching and was thinking it was from hair products. Thanks Kari for a great video!
Yes the Gas have me feeling bad I can't even explain it just moves around from my back to my stomach even my but checks I have to go lay down it get so bad. 😢I just cried because it's been like this for 2 days now it goes away for week or 2 and come back. I'm trying to see if some thing I'm eating is making it worse.
A new symptom I’m experiencing now is DRY MOUTH even when I’m not thirsty.😏 This is the explanation I found - When estrogen and progesterone decrease in women experiencing menopause or the time around menopause, they may experience perimenopausal or menopausal dry mouth. This is when the salivary glands may decrease in their production, and a woman’s mouth could have a dry, cotton-filled sensation to it. In my menopause experience there were 5 ugly years. I think I’m in the tail end of my meno as my hormones are probably starting to settle. I’m better but I can’t explain how but still not my old self. It’s like a big storm that left destruction and I’m the one who has to repair what was damaged and clean up the mess. Well… it feels and it looks that way - literally! Hopefully now the body will cooperate as I try to lose weight. 🤞
Kari, I was diagnosed with M.E./Fibromyalgia at 35. I managed to work as a nurse then music therapist until retirement at 61. Im now 71 and have suffered for 18 years with post menopausal symptoms. Having the other illness has complicated everything and after all this time, Im at a loss. Ive tried everything but I react badly to everything. My body is constantly under seige and unmanageable. I look after myself as best I can but its hard not to lose heart. No Doc can help so its reassuring to watch your videos, although nothing helps. I need a miracle now!
It is so real..apart from all the other symptoms for the last week ive been getting bad headaches i dont suffer from them its scary im waiting for a doctor to call me back..is it menapause is it something else.. you're a breath of fresh air...when women went through it years ago they were mad or moaners or whatever other label..im grateful its being recognised...its rough..
Beef bone broth. The right kind. Made without anything. Just simple plain beef bone broth. Taste bland as you can guess!! I add a bit of ginger. Beef bone broth has so MANY benefits, not only for joints but it heals the intestines. Ginger does amazing things as we all already know. I make a cup everyday for me and a cup every other day for my 4 year old big dog to maintain his joints and gut health.
You are an angel, thanks to your videos and explanations help me to manage my post menopause, just wish I'd found you when I was pre and in menopause. Turning women into warriors!
The itchiness drives me crazy, as well as the digestion problems😥so thank you so much Kari for being there. Never stop uploading your videos as without you on RU-vid I would be going through all this perimenopause alone. You are truly a godsend. Have a fabulous new year.
I suddenly have sleep apnea. Never had an issue until last year. Now I wake up suddenly a few times a week and hubby says I snore like a bear. That's in addition to all the other symptoms. Great 😒. Thank you so much for your channel Kari. I wouldn't have made it through the past few years without you. ❤
Oooh that itching! There's one area on my back, hard to reach without feeling like I'm pulling my shoulder out of joint! Drives me insane! Everytime I sit to watch TV, sit at the pc, as soon as I get into bed my back itches, my forehead, my scalp. I feel live a monkey, lol! The worse is if I'm texting, the itching starts while I'm trying to focus. I keep a backscratcher and sometimes have to use a fork! Last week I had long scratches on my arm and now using mederma to heal it. Sheesh! The one thing that has never been a problem is hot flashes. I dont even think it runs in my close maternal family members. I have a friend who has it so bad her hair gets soaked with sweat. Thanks for sharing! It's a bummer... Dee, NY
Night sweats...covers off/covers on, repeat. Having trouble holding pee in while running to the bathroom. I also enjoy an intolerance to the cold but dread the humid summer weather more. Getting in a hot car is just unbearable for me anymore.
I just started getting cold last year. I have always been someone who ran hot . But last winter, I found myself putting on a robe that I had never even worn more than once or twice in many years. And it became my best friend. 😊This year I got myself a heated blanket.. I would’ve never thought I would be cold.
Thank you, Kari for these videos. Since last year, I should say precisely dec8 of 22, I can't eat carbohydrates and sugars. No pasta, white rice, white bread, etc. I get violently ill, like nauseous, throwing up/diarrhea, dizziness, panic attack and a heat rising from my neck, like flight/fight rush. Has anybody experienced this or is it only me?
Could be insulin, hormone related. Sweets have no flavor to me and too much - usually over 60 carbs - give me heartburn and nausea. This all began during the summer for me.
Today one of my symptoms is "easy to cry". This video made me cry because I can relate! Thank you for making me not feel so alone in all these weird symptoms. I am seeing a naturopath who is helping me with a lot of my symptoms.
(Iam on my sons account) ..I kept thinking i was going to die i read a book on perimenopause and it was like a light switch going on and i wasnt going mad !!! Not sure how far through iam but symptoms have come on quickly last 6 months .x❤
For stiffness and joint pain Omega 3 is excellent! It really worked, in two weeks my joints felt like brand new, like when i was in my twenties 👍 Coenzyme Q10 is great for tiredness and lack of energy, impressive results in a couole of weeks too👍 If taken together, these two supplements are really powerful😊 they boost and complement each other and improve our life quality in a big way!❤
Hello Kari 🥰 many of these symptoms I deal with but the one that bothers me the most is muscle spasms 😣out of nowhere, no matter what I’m doing they kick in into my back & sometimes feels like I can’t breathe :( Until my husband rubs me down with muscle cream & sometimes gets so bad I have to take muscle relaxers which makes me sleep 🙄 So so grateful for your vids, keep em coming so I can pass em on!!! 🙌🏾🙏🏾 Thank you!!! 😊 Peace & Blessings 💕
I struggle with that, too, for several different reasons. I just want to encourage you to (if you haven't already been) track your diet for a while to make sure you're getting enough minerals. I always struggle to get enough calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which I hear affect how your muscles and nerves function. So apparently it makes my other autoimmune-based cramping problems worse! I haven't tracked my food for four days while on vacation, and my nerves are crazy tonight! If that doesn't help you out, I hope you'll find something else that does well for you. It's not fun!!!
One day I just felt pain in my right arm, I could not lift my arm, went to doctor, send me for x-ray for my arm, the test came back that there is nothing wrong with my arm, then the doctor told me inflammation due to menopause, my arm was sooo painful it lasted for almost two weeks, menopause has done me so much , love listening to you and learning also, God bless you Kari🙏🙏🙏
I had a terrible panic attack yesterday at 3am. I was asleep and woke up in a panic. It took everything from me not to call an ambulance. Getting old sucks😔
As long as Im getting back normal results that is something Im going to use as a consolation. I do intermittent fasting, weight training, walking and supplement with magnesium glycinate, omega 3,probiotics, a whole multivitamin and Im looking for a vit d3 with k2, an almost ketogenic diet and I use to take kelp or sometimes ashwanganda but it's a bit steep for my pockets now. These help to a certain degree and sometimes I do get the occasional joint pain, GERD and anxiety attack As I said as long as my test results are normal I use this as my consolation and I listen binaural beats or music to help me relax. My sistas Im here with you and for you
Thank you Kari for another great video! And thank you so much for addressing so many health issues, we menopausal women have. As the previous subscriber mentioned, I myself thought that I am getting crazy until I found your channel 🙏🙏🙏 Many health problems during menopausal journey are simply ignored by many doctors. What they usually say is anxiety and gladly prescibe medications. Not even trying to go to the roots of the issue. Thank you again Kari for doing what you doing ❤ Happy New Year everyone 🎉
My feminine internal part often got so dry the lining cracked. Thus, I had to sit on an ice pack a lot. HRT's helped my other symptoms, but did not solve this problem. Inserting castor bean oil has been healing it. Immediately, the thick oil comforted that part, but it has taken time for it to heal the internal part's lining. But it is doing that. As I continue to do this over the months, my internal part continues to improve. Not that I think it is up to marriage. But I am 68, so the rest of me isn't either. However, I have given up the ice packs! Yippee!
@@8yearsago153 Thank you. What my doctor prescribe was estradiol cream made from wild yams. During the 10 years I used it, my other symptoms improved, but not my vagina. And my labia started shrinking and kept shrinking until it looked like it belonged on a 3-year old girl. I switched to estradiol cream made from soybeans. My labia grew to it's adult size, and my vagina improved. But I also need castor bean oil.
Heartburn twice this week while sleeping. Pains above breast in past few weeks. The colder weather doesn't help. A brighter and healthier New Year to you, Ms. Kari💞Thanks for the update. I absolutely appreciate All your posts. 💜
Great video, truthful in regards to symptoms of menopause. I was thrown into early menopause at 40 when I had a hysterectomy, although I still have my ovaries. 57 now. I can tell you I wake up completely angry in a soaking wet T-shirt, freezing cold… During the last six years, my hubby has moved into his own bedroom, because I was disrupting him all night getting up and down, not being able to sleep. & having to wake-up, & change my wet clothes ! So awful, I find my reaction is pure anger, lol. But the more I learned from watching your channel and reading others opinions in the comments, I have learned so much, Kari! Many thanks! Just want to add; alcohol seems to make things worse, so I try to steer clear of… 💜⭐️💜
Hi Kari, I have been following you for a while and I had so many scary symptoms. It was horrendous. I bought books, and saw doctors who didn't help me. I found a hormonal health clinic and had to wait months to get an appointment. I had my appointment in October and I was absolutely floored when they told me I had Grave's disease. All the symptoms that are similar/exactly like peri. I was absolutely convinced it was peri. Since I started taking the meds (which is temporary) all the horrendous symptoms have gone. But I do get hot flashes. Great vlog as usual.
So the same thing happened to me with respect to weight gain. Overnight it seems as I approached menopause, I started gaining weight. My routine had not changed. I know metabolism is thyroid controlled to a great extent so I started taking desiccated bovine thyroid and within 3 days of starting it, I stopped gaining weight. Now I am post menopause and still my weight is steady. Still dealing with low estrogen so I’m trying to tackle that now. Thank you Kari Anne for these videos!
Hello our dear Kari 🥰👋🏾 Everything you mentioned is Me @54 yrs 😩 I had many tests done the past 2 years & everything came back normal 😒& of course came with huge hospital bills $$ ☹️ I am grateful to know about the tests results :-) but now I’m more informed by you so I do not stress as much anymore… 😊I’m gonna always take your advise & keep other women informed by your vid’s which are True Blessings!!! May God bless you abundantly, Thank you!!! 😇💕 #2024betterhealth
Thank you , i have all of what you just described countless visits to the dr . today included for the uti symptoms . I have mentioned the pessary before to them and just gave me another patch to use with another . So i am now going to see this pessary , due to endo + ovarian cysts i think the hrt patches are worsening my symptoms . I want to try a different method , thank you for the info on collagen + vit d , tumeric as i am determined to get on top of my health this year . Perimenopause + 2 years of menopause have really had major impact on my physical + mental body . I really appreciate this video today thank you again ✨
The worst for me are the hot flashes. They always come so suddenly & at the wrong moment. Thanks so much for all the wonderful videos. I’m 51 & ooh boy…. I truly ask myself why it’s called the fabulous 50’s. Was it just someone being sarcastic….coz I don’t feel fabulous at all. Happy new year gorgeous 🤗🤗😘
Thank you. Yes I have the digestive issues now, I found raw onions help when I'm out in the kitchen cooking. I have to stay away from my orange juice that I used to get along with just fine up until lately. I can feel every hair that has been lost to the inside of my shirt.
I take optibic herbel tablets are good vitamin d magnesium tablets and turmic with black pepper tablets and loads of water ❤ thank you for your information
Yes with the itch in the middle of the back! Of course, it's where I can't see it. Have a dermatologist appt scheduled to rule out something that should be treated, but I'm 90% sure it's just one of those peri things.
Does anyone experience a very different pain in low back than the normal cramps as you get closer to menopause? Like a deep, dull pain that’s particularly bad while laying down? I’ve had all the tests.. CT scan, colonoscopy, ultra sound, bloodwork, chiropractic etc.. and nothing comes up in the tests.
My history is.. Full thyroidectomy in 2019 due to graves disease put on T4 but it flared my colitis up changed to T3, still having gut problems, with server sweating still.. 😢 I'm still having awful symptoms started going through the menupause in 2007 early, as I'd had an hysterectomy, at that time I had no ill effects was diagnosed by FSH blood test. But since going on T3 over a year now I've developed a really weird symptom, it involves sweating which as never left me, even after full thyroidectomy, it starts as a humming, vibration in my public bone, it then travels down my legs to my ankles and in to my arms, with a feeling of utter weakness, then the awful sweating begins 🤒. I was recently put on HRT patches to see if these would help, they have not!! As I have thrombosis it was to be my choice to use HRT , after around 12 days (change every 4th day) when I was cleaning the area for the next patch I noticed a large bruise where the patch was, I inquire about the bruise at my next clinic for clots in my eye, I was told to come off the patches immediately, I'm wondering if I should now inform my doctor🤷♀️
Thank you so much for being on RU-vid, you have helped me understand post menopause and my husband understand it also… ur my savior. 💐I appreciate your videos
Dows any one wlse experience severe dizziness??? I have to drink iethe a antidepressant or herbal menapause tablet for it to stop...and the anxiety...awful...also, when I am in the moment of an attack, I can't stand someone touching my skin...even a slight touch is unbearable...and I love to give hugs, give comfort. Oh, this is horrible
I shaved my head a couple years ago because the itch just would not go away. I was convinced that something was living up there. My hair grew back and it's fine now.
Omgoodness Kari that's been so me lately 😢 it's been horrible. Thank u so so much for these videos. U are always posting right when I need to hear it. Wishing u a Happy and blessed New Year🎉❤ We Love u Kari!
It’s like they(doctors) are afraid to tell you ugh. But it’s a business to them so with all business they want to keep you coming back. But guess what? I continue to change my doctors
I am in my early 40's and I am type 2 diabetic (have been since my late 20's). I have for the past year or so had awful problems with my back. My joints, particularly my knees have been a problem too, though my left knee has been an issue for as long as my type 2 diabetes at least. One recurring problem I seem to have a lot is acid reflux problems with my stomach, and my eye sight has changed. I am supposedly too young to be going through menopause, but it has crossed my mind if it is what is happening in addition to my type 2 diabetes but it is difficult to isolate the symptoms when you have more than one health issue.
Early 40’s is not too young for perimenopause. I’m a type 2 diabetic as well. Joint pain and body wide discomforts that begin in midlife are often caused by loss of estrogen and collagen.
Why in the world are there no MDs specializing in this area... my gynecologist is clueless and has no idea how to help with these problems. Sadly, as a survivor of estrogen dominant breast cancer, hormones are out of the question. As a health coach I have also done a lot of research on my own and am helping myself that way. Good Health and Peace of Mind to all!
Thank you Kari for your informative videos😊. I have a lot of these symptoms, especially the dry itchy skin and extreme bloating along with fibroids that ive had fot ten years. Achy joints and stiffmess on certain days. Foggy memory at times and i have no get up and go and i was always full of energy. I take herbal supplements but dont know exactly how much they help. I might try a good brand of collagen. I hope the Lord Jesus blesses you in this new year😊
Omg 😱 I think I’m going through the change I thought I was losing my mind and I just turned 40ish. Omg 😱 you’re only on the second symptom and you described me, except for the vaginal issue, knock ✊🏾 on wood
Ciao!
Have you read the book Your Body in Balance ? It has really helped me to understand what has been happening with my body. The most valuable thing I learned is how eating enough fiber helps the body get rid of excess hormones.
Hello! Just popping into say I just love you, your videos are so calming and really hit home I think I’ve been Ive been in Peri menopause since age 30 but used birth control pills the past 10 years now I’m 41. My biggest symptoms are mental, anxiety ocd and horrible sleep. Btw I have seen you with both wigs and your natural hair and you look just fine with both!❤
I have tingling in my arms and legs which is exacerbated by stress. I have already done all the tests to rule out MS. Pretty sure it is a symptom of menopause. Anyone else experience tingling in extremities?
Today is day 1 of my Modere journey! My goal is to get off various prescriptions, get rid of all the aches and pains, and lose weight. I don’t know if I can lose all 100 lbs I gained, but at least I’m going to try and get the weight off as best as I can.
So exciting! Any weight loss is fabulous and needs to be celebrated. I noticed improvements in my pain after about three weeks on the collagen. It was subtle but I was sitting one night and realized that I had run up and down the stairs several times that day without my knees paining. Other improvements followed. I still have aching here and there but it is much better. It took about a month for the scale to move for me but I was building muscle with exercise and I’m insulin resistant. Be patient and help the supplements help you with diet and exercise. You can do it! You’re in my group so keep in touch. I want to follow your progress, answer any questions you might have and celebrate your successes with you this new year.❤️
@KariAnneWright I have arthritis in my hips, knees, and feet. So, that's the majority of my pain. The latest in that category I'd my lower back. I'd love to get rid of all the aches and pains!!!
I have it all. Going on 13+ years now, it just won’t stop. Until I started the collagen recently (because of this channel) the hot flashes were hourly, without fail, 24/7. Now they have calmed down to 5 or so a day. I do wonder why I never heard any of the issues besides hot flashes from the older generations????
One symptom that does affect many women and can rule their lives is migraines and tension headaches. Whilst in menopause they aren't as painful as in perimenopause, they do change from once a month to several times a month at different severities. I went through menopause 7 years ago and 3 out of 4 weeks I have headaches and migraines of different severity. I can be 7-10 days without a headache/migraine. I usually have a LH migraine for 1-2 days then a tension headache for a day, then RH migraine for another day, a total of 5 days altogether. Does anyone else encounter this issue? I'm assuming some headaches are due to high cortisol and some are fluctuations in oestrogen. I'm hoping eventually it will settle!
Right now Im having digestive issues for the last 10 days, also we were on a family holiday that could disrupt my gut. . However Bloating and diarrhea has been my recent issue
That’s fantastic! I always get so excited when I hear that another woman is being helped by the liquid collagen. It’s doing wonders for me too. All women in midlife should be replacing lost collagen for health. Loss of collagen in midlife affects every inch of our bodies and it causes so many symptoms and discomforts.
@@KariAnneWright Absolutely!! Best thing I’ve done and even slowly losing weight! Highly recommend Modere to my friends!! I’m soooo amazed and happy ❤️❤️❤️
Oh yes, When the cold flashes pass in my body,I am so sick, I feel like I am going to fall , when moving around,it just changed me at once, change my mood,I am so tired of menopause, right now a hot flash take me I just moved my coat on me,😢😢 what a life
4:45 i had been through all this symptoms kari...Thank god i watched your vedio...my anxiety brings so many things...thanks to god to get to know ur vedio...it's help so so so much for me😢
OMG, I'm going through that right now. I've always had itching spells since I was 15 because of my fibromyalgia. Now since I'm perimenopausal, the itching is insane. I have scratches everywhere and I'm so miserable with it. My doctor told me about a lotion that's not helping, benadryl is not helping 😢 I just have to ride it out 🙁
Hemorrhoids! Part of digestive troubles, it took me quite awhile to figure out what was going on, I’d never experienced them, no pregnancies here. Once I got otc hemorrhoid treatments, that took care of it.
I have just missed my first period and the very painful cramping for ten days still is happening. Is this normal? My stomach seems effected by perimenopause more and more. I have a painful upset stomach a lot. Thank you for your videos . I would feel so alone if not for them
Thankyou for this info , been struggling with the symptoms , for some time , pain in knees and feet is the worst , and sensitive bladder , going to try a few supplements , and look at diet . Last resort estrogen if it gets really bad
Oh God the itchiness! I too thought there were bugs in the house. Tortuous it nearly drove me insane. Nothing worked if anything anti histamine made it worse. Finally it settled own and now just occasional. Also had the itchy scalp quite a lot! Gonna try collagen.
@@Jesus_isLord_andGod oh dear it’s hard isn’t it? I still get flare ups now and then. I had it for almost 8 months. I found using baby shampoo helped and products with simple ingredients and little perfume helped. Also coconut oil.
Oh Kari Vagina Atrophy this one is not easy,I went through this for 8 months, and I suffer with it, burning, hottest, can't sit properly only on one side, could not sit down down,oh boy it's bad,I pray to God I don't have to go through this again
