Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

I stopped trying to predict market outcomes based on chart studying after 5 years of uncertainty. Not having a mentor caused me 5 years of pain. I learned to follow the market's direction and keep it simple with discipline.

I love your first point! I drive a 9 year old basic Prius and we live in the smallest house on our block, which is still nice. Yes, everyone, please believe that this can be very true, even for people with money who can technically afford to pay cash for upgrades on much nicer models for both a car and a house. Some of us believe that just because you CAN afford to buy more and better than you actually don't always HAVE to do so. Big fan of Ramit Sethi here aka "your rich life" which explains an idea that you can spend lavishly on things you love and cut back drastically on things you don't. A HUGE house and or a fancy car don't matter much to my husband and me... we spend a lot more on other things we care about a lot more than material items and save on the house and car so all balances out. But to each his or her own... spend on what you love and save on what you don't care about!

It's such a contrast how you remind me of past and how Renee Marie Harrison changed my Life from a nobody to a home, $83K biweekly and good pretty daughters! Let’s put it like this, legal money is the best money, illegal money is the worst kind to have - don’t touch it, stay far away, bad money brings with it court & legal fees, court leads to prison & wrecks you’re reputation, it can very easily lead to something terrible - like death. Do yourself a big favor & stay far away bad money - it is not worth it! Look around.
