Ok the last bit about 1972 annoys me. If you can't say words like Israel and Palestine out loud (bc censorship) then at least make it more clear that the terrorist attack had to do with the Middle Eastern conflict. The way you framed this implies that it had more to do with the tensions about Germany hosting again after WW2. For people who don't know the details of the incident, this is confusing and misleading, as if those "militants" were Germans who had it out for the Israeli athletes.
@barryclay9084
@barryclay9084 Месяц назад
I was aged 12 when I first heard the word 'terrorist'. I was watching the Olympics in 1972. The newspaper photo of the hooded terrorist on the balcony always comes to mind when I think of that event. This was also my introduction to the "Middle East Conflict"(War).
@kananimiranda3376
@kananimiranda3376 Месяц назад
Exactly! the framing of this narrative, the way it is told to avoid the words terrorists and israeli team, makes it that much worse because it is assuming that the watcher understand that this does NOT have to do with germany in the 70’s or it’s people at all. The narrator should have just left this segment out if the story wasn’t made out more clearly of who the victims and who the aggressors actually were. Not worth telling the story if you are going to sugar coat it by avoiding the truth with factual words behind this tragedy.

The first one really reminds me of the crap that happens during the Tour de France, where spectators have literally no limits at multiple points in the race. The race points to "tradition", which is crap. You tell me that what happens when Pogacar is climbing solo for a win, when spectators can literally breath in his face is normal. If an NFL fan even decides to run onto the field, that dude is hardcore tackled and arrested. It's amazing the Tour has yet to do anything about it, even when Pogacar and Vingegaard had chips thrown in their faces this year 🤦‍♂️

@kananimiranda3376
@kananimiranda3376 Месяц назад
Now, that started in 1992 i believe? but before that it was winter and summer the same year every four years. To get it to every two years they did the winter ones again after 2 years since they didn’t have as many competitions. They also allowed for the first time, professional athletes to be in that winter olympics. I think it was because so many of the known names had turned professional so the amateurs wouldn’t have enough to train with only 2 years and since they were doing the change they needed the professionals to get eyes on the extra olympics, like katarina witt, torvill and dean, and gordeeva and grinkov. So allowing professionals in has been a thing since that olympics since they never changed it back to amateurs only.

When I was studying for my BA thesis, I read an anecdote about the relationship between the press & the US government during the Great War, that in a press conference, the US President - either Roosevelt or Truman - told the media some plans for an upcoming secret action in WWII, but asked that they keep it secret until executed because it could derail Allied efforts. They didn't publish a word. These days, journalists are not always professionals or professional. Getting a scoop on other media, getting more eyes on their story, getting more "likes," etc., becomes more important than what they could ruin. Then they whine when info is withheld from them or they are told outright lies. But also, these "sources" like police, government officials, and the like, have been known to lie in cover-ups or just because they're incompetent. So, they all get whatever dysfunctional relationship they deserve, really.

My 8th grade Principal removed my unfinished sketch from a library art display without permission, then called me into her office 6 years after I graduated high school and asked me to sign it. Does it snow in Australia?
@scooter59wyo61
@scooter59wyo61 Месяц назад
Yes, it snows in some parts of Australia, especially in the alpine regions and on the highlands of the southeast. Snow is rare at sea level, but it's common in the states of New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, and the Australian Capital Territory. The Australian Alps are the snowiest areas, with the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales receiving an average of 1.9 meters of snow each year. Victoria's High Country region, which is a short drive from Melbourne, also gets significant snowfall. Tasmania's Central Plateau and Ben Lomond also experience consistent snow cover.

Bro not saying the full details of the Munich massacre is insane. It was a targeted antisemitic attack against the Jewish Israeli athletes, organised by a Palestinian terrorist group that was *internationally recognised* as a terrorist group. Saying ‘for historical reasons’ on why there was a controversy with the German games is already ridiculous, but this? Come on. Erasing anti Israeli crime is not cool

No. 1, how very politically correct. Omitting the nationality of the victims and perps. I will help you, those were Palestinian terrorists demanding the release of their terrorist mates from prisons and their victims were Israeli.

The headline here baffles me. Are there ANY Olympic incidents that aren't "in human history"? Answer: No. Obviously. But what do you expect from an AI channel? If it's going to show a photo of the Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing -- and call it the Stade de France in Paris -- I guess we shouldn't be surprised by a ridiculous sounding headline.

Dude your monotone approach and voice isn't really appropriate for the videos you are trying to create. Add a little excitement to/from yourself at some parts and it goes a long way. Also stop dragging out your videos that could be 5-10 mins instead of 20mins, the flat dramatic voice overs are a thing of the past on YT, you should be able to tell that from the average viewer count to the average subscriber count you have, which isn't good. if you ever want to get over 50k subscribers you'd take this into advisement.

FUNNY no mention is made that the "militants" were Palestinian terrorists, and their hostages were Israelis. I think there could possibly be a little bias here. But I suppose to suggest that is hate speech!

Why did you call them militants? They were terrorists and their targets were the israel team. You’ve totally changed the narrative there by downplaying the victims and the villains.
