Yeah, this video is for me. I'm a teacher on a pretty severe budget, and I don't do myself any favors sampling high end designer and niche fragrances. Thankfully, some of the clone houses really do the trick. I've got (and love) Oud for Glory, and CDNIM, but now that I know there's a By The Fireplace clone, I must have it. Also super interested in the Green Irish Tweed clone and the Interlude Man clone. But the two clones I'm waiting for are Jubilation XXV (probably my favorite niche scent), Nishane Ani, my favorite vanilla, and Ambre Precieux, my favorite amber. If anyone knows about any clones of these that currently exist, let me know!
How's the performance for Oud for Glory? The price for Oud for Greatness is something I wont even entertain...at least for now. I've had Oud for Glory in my cart on Amazon for ages. Might as well hear how it is before i pull the trigger and get it.
@@NashMav it’s amazing. Over 10 hrs on clothes, only that the atomizer is not great but you have to be careful not to overspray cos it can get overpowering.
I haven't tried a clone of any of those fragrances, but I recommend Genre Parfums, if you are looking for fragrances with an excellent quality/ price ratio. I recently discovered them on Etsy and purchased 3 samples. After sampling, I was impressed, and I immediately bought 2 full sized bottles. With it being a small fragrance house, stock may be limited, you may have to check back later for fragrances.
After i smelled Supremacy not only intense by Afnan, I just cannot use CDNIM or Explorer or Adventure or whatever... It just smells incredible and lasts forever!!
absolutely love your channel but you definitely need to put time stamps on every fragrance and the name of it...it helps a lot to know where exactly to look
Sorry Ash but the clone king for Platinum Egoist is Eau de Passion Men by Franck Olivier. It blows Armaf out of the water. I'm an absolute fan of Chanel Platinum Egoist but since I start using Eau de Passion I've never bought another bottle again. Not only because of the price difference but it lasts much longer then the Original and I can say with certainty as I have both that it's a 98% clone. The Armaf is similar but doesn't come close.
I recently picked up Lattafa's Bade'e Al Oud Amethyst (their dupe of Atomic Rose) and wow! Way to knock that one out of the park, Lattafa. And on me, it lasted a really long time & smelled great 🔥🔥🔥
I Still smell it on my hoody 2 weeks later. 😂😂😂😂😂 I love the Amethyst oud so much. Thought about buying oud for glory but it's for men so I'm scared I won't like it
Received a decant of Tuscan leather yesterday and OOOOOOHHH BABY, that stuff is strong. The dry down is absolutely beautiful smelling but when you first spray it, that stuff is stout. Not too sure how I feel about it before the dry down but you'll definitely stand out and smell like a badass about an hour after.
I purchased Afnan Supremacy in Oud through an online retailer in the summer. I wanted to test it when I got it, so I sprayed two sprays on my forearm. 8 hours later I needed to take a shower and wanted to put on a summer fragrance. I SCRUBBED my arm with a loofah sponge and could not get the scent off. It was still easily smelled the next day. Lol
How are you going to not include these? Afnan 9pm = JPG Ultramale Al Haramain Detour Noir= PDM Layton A.F. Black Panther= Bvlgari Tygar Hands down 3 of the best clones I own and I'm pretty sure overspraying 9pm will get you an attempted manslaughter charge in most places it's that strong.
@@gavindiamond2731 Next on my hit list is Afnan rare Carbon which is supposed to be a Tom Ford ombre leather come. We shall see. Oh, also the insurrection 2 frag that is supposed to be a clone of Pure Havane from Mugler.
Im buying Versace Oud Noir today, to step into the Oud world I have been told by you its a great fragrance, im in Aust its still always retail about $130-160 AUD but I found it at a discount Drug Store for $103 AUD so ive had no dramas with Versace so it seems to be the way to go.
Not the best smell for Aus, it's a proper wintery fragrance, but you'll get away with it if you rock it with confidence. Just be careful not to choke people out cos it's a definite cold weather fragrance, in the summer it can be really cloying and over powering. Don't go mad with it or you'll be like the little old lady that's doused herself in Giorgio Beverly Hills, making people leave the place they're in to get away from the aroma.
@@dazzac74 you missed the point then, clearly 🤣 I said it was a winter fragrance, so why tell me your winters are cool? That was my point. I mentioned it's not a summer fragrance.
10:33 when you said about the packaging, indeed the midnight oud packaging is the worst fragrance packaging i ever seen. I have one so i know what you meant. Its just.. bad. But midnight oud smell is one of my favorite, not gonna lie 👍🏻
I recently got Lattafa - Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oudh, it's not really that close to By the Fireplace. It just smells way more Arab-Style, not really my kinda thing
Milton Lloyd make some excellent clones, in fact all they make is clones are they're about £4/$6 per 50ml. Some of them are absolutely bang on and they all project and last like crazy. Try their 'The Man Cobalt' it's a clone of vintage Fahrenheit, not the new weaker stuff, it smells just like the 80's/90's stuff. Their Gucci Guilty clone is immense too, and it lasts all day unlike the real GG stuff. That's called 'La Affaire' that one. They do Aventus and Oud Wood ones too, but they're in different bottles under a different line, Viktor followed by a number, or something along those lines. I know the Aventus has a green lid and the Oud Wood has a gold one, I can't remember the specific numbers though. Check on Amazon, although they're cheaper elsewhere. Great gifts for pals that love a fragrance you wear, without you spending a fortune cos let's be fair, non-collectors don't really care about what's written on the bottle as long as they get the smell right.
I've been loving Afnan Supremacy Silver. The only "Aventus " I have with the real deal, campfire smoke note. I found an open box, Slightly used bottle at Marshall's for $10.00 on clearance. I have no clue how it ended up there. I shop there regularly and never see it. I bet someone left in the store by accident and they slapped a price tag on it. They couldn't possibly get Afnan ....could they?
Oud For Glory is worthy, if you like Oud for Greatness. To be honest, I like Oud for Glory MORE. It lacks the medicinal alcohol blast of the original, and is just (to my nose) smoother and richer overall. Smells very slightly more synthetic but at 1/10th of the cost, I mean, come on. And although the bottle is an obvious straight-up rip-off of the Initio frag, it feels great, has great texture and heft and looks stunning. One of my favorite purchases, honestly.
What do you actually think of the ombré Leather if that big announcement or really strong or so. I grabbed a sample can't really tell im nose blind ahah 🙃. And to Omar yea I have great number in the bank. I have over 100 bottles in my collection and not done.
Hi, You should try the Abdul Samad al-Qurashi perfumes. Very Unique scents and very high quality. Most famouse of them is Safari Extreme. You will live it.
just chucking ideals out but maybe videos on the orgins of some of these well known massively successful fragrance house i.e creed amouage idk maybe knowing more information about a house can bring more attention to fragrances and get you more views
You don't wanna know about Creeds origins. I can sum it up for you in with two letters. BS. That's all you need to know about Creed, they're full of BS. Hardly anything they say is true. All that blurb on their provenance leaflets in their boxes, total garbage. Adventus for example, wasn't developed by a Creed, it was outsourced, you'd never know that by reading their pretentious spiel though. Have a gander online, you'll be surprised by how many porkies they come out with.
Two questions: 1) Can you explain the "poopy" smell you're describing? I hear what you're saying and I know what you mean obviously but idk if i've ever smelled that in a cologne. 2) I haven't seen a video where you explained why you don't like the Sport version of a cologne. That has stuck with me since I heard you say it and I want to understand.
When they alter the strength it becomes another cheap clone or at least hopefully. The niche copies are okay and eventually become their own thing. But if you want the real thing you live with the fact that quality doesn't always equal longevity.
I would love to hear your thoughts on Al haramain amber oud gold edition. Collection is sitting @ around 200 mostly niche: xerjoff, roja, kilian, creed etc. I’m not a fan of clones I always prefer the real deal. (The only other clone I own is armaf sillage) I was skeptical to try Amber oud GE, but I’m happy I did it’s def in my top 15 fragrances period. I also have xerjoff Erba pura and even though they smell alike E.P isn’t even in my top 50. And imo AOGE is such a beautiful melon fruity fragrance. And I haven’t heard any reviewers mention it apart from equality fragrances
Many reviewers have talked about that one. Its super strong when it comes to performance. Here you go ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ll-p74gD16o.html
Hello there my friend!!!! Which cologne would you recommend for a very incense,Oud, smokey, spicy aroma. I LOVE OUD FOR GREATNESS!!! I have OUD FOR GLORY just because of the price of the other and I have AFNAN SUPREMACY IN OUD. Just looking for more incense aroma. I thank you for your videos my friend and hope you have a great day.
I bought Ameer al Oudh Intense. The smell is weird and the performance it terrible! Ive even let it sit for a while and it took out some of the harshness but I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Speaking of clones, can you cover any of the ALT fragrances? They do plenty clones but a lot of the reviews seem like promos and not sure if they are actually just bad fragrances.
@ Gent Scents, this might be off-topic but I recall your review of the 80's fragrance Quorum by Antonio Puig. I had not thought much about this Spanish design house since until I noticed something interesting. Looking at a bottle of Prada L'Homme Intense, I see a reference to "Antonio Puig" on the bottom. Given that we know who the nose responsible for Prada L'Homme Intense is, what do you make of this reference? Is Antonio Puig the de facto manufacturer of Prada L'Homme?
Antonio Puig founded a company called Puig, and Prada used to have a license with them until recently. Prada is with L’Oréal now. So basically Puig was distributing Prada’s fragrances up until 2018 when the license ended.
Not sure if you have it but trust me do a review of Christian La Croix Tumulte....its a hidden gem that still ranks as my #1 ever for the price...well the price it was .
Girls are supposed to like it. The smoke note is too much for me, “back to basics living in a cave with an open fireplace” kinda note. Other notes are great though, pure quality.
Hi I’m in uk normally where creed sausage blah blah never really any compliments wore a fragerence that cost £12 uk mustang performance very nice everyone asking what I had on lol just putting it out their
I literally have blind-buy bottles of Midnight Oud & Oud for Glory arriving this week that I managed to snag for dirt cheap! I'm excited but nervous after watching this lol...
Don't worry. You'll have no regrets after the first 10 mins of spraying. Like some other clones the top is a bit harsh, but past that it's smooth sailing
Im looking for that scent that is fresh not fruity but the other note i cant think of it its driving me nuts the word im looking for can y help me out! Please want a great fresh not leather scents more like summer .
I think the CDNIM pure parfum is vastly better than the others regarding the opening. It really is that much better than the EDT & EDP.. in my opinion. Love the content you're bringing. Thanks 👍
I get more compliments with club than I do creed. Sorry to say it. Just because it costs more don't make it better. And the open is great. I get thr modest compliments on thr open on skin and clothes. Not a piece of paper your smelling
I love longevity of English laundry London but I tried Riviera the other day and it only lasts for an hour. With tons of sprays. Very disappointed for such a great citrus smell
