A tip for sharing music: don't just randomly send songs with zero explanation or context. that doesn't come off as flirting, at least to most adults. give me a REASON as to why you're sharing that song or artist. make sure I am open to listening to it. and pay attention to if there's reciprocation. are you asking me to send songs I love in return? this kind of flirting is very give and take, not just spamming random music you love. it will backfire if you don't put thought and connection into it, like most things. The #1 important thing to pay attention to is how the person you're flirting with is reacting to you/talks to you- which I know can be difficult through text sometimes. if they are not showing interest, you need to back off and let go after a time. if you're not sure, being straightforward is good because you should always look for someone who is open and honest about their feelings. if they're unsure for too long, you deserve someone who IS sure of themselves. be good to others as you'd be good to yourself and vice versa.

Fun story: I confessed my love to a girl, she friendzoned me, my mature self took it quite well, but I forgot to ACTUALLY stay her friend lmao, and then she pouted on me and said *I* am the one who is pouting... *I mean if you want to stay friends you also have to start conversations sometimes or else we are not friends at all, cute idiot!* Anyway I feel free of all burdens now and it really was worth it, it's a wonderful feeling

I met a woman in 2014/15. She was the first woman I spoke to that wasn't my wife in over a decade. I told her a lot of things about me and we shared a lot of laughter and flirted a lot. Oh, these tips can be very effective, thank you! I've got a little question and I can't find a way of answering it She's always busy (she's doing a business degree while I'm studying IT development), and we live really far apart (~5 hours by car). Now, I can't lie, I don't spend all day doing homework (it seems 'simple', logical and natural, it's just that I don't need to study as much at the moment), whereas she's always studying, pushing herself every time. Now, we've talked a lot every summer since covid19, but during school, not so much. Still, recently she sent me messages (I'm on holiday this week, she's just finished her holiday) that were quite flattering, I can't lie. She wants us to go to an amusement park this summer (now that I've got a car and we've got money, it's much easier!), and I'm all for it, but because of the stress of her school, if I don't text her first and we don't talk then, she just doesn't reply. I know it might be stupid, but I don't know if I should continue, check in, just talk, or stop. PS: I'm really enjoying talking to her (and I think she is too) and I'm not forcing myself, but I'm wondering if in this situation I should stop.

I'm a guy and I advice you not to propose him until unless he's really a shy guy. If he's not a shy guy then you should make him propose you and then accept his proposal. I've been getting along with a friend recently... We did quite many of these things, but something changed out of nowhere. She stopped being consistent to my messages, she stopped joining VC, she stopped joining OUR plans; no more games, no more movies, no more nothing... It's a bit tough, I thought we had something mutual... I'm not giving up to love, but I've given up on her, I still care for her, but I need to move on.

I feel like this is a safe place to share. I have questions on this topic. So, a bit of backstory, I am in a long distance relationship. It is going well. My only thing is that they asked of me to respect a boundary put in place. The boundary is only texting on three days per week. I feel like we can't fully connect this way. if they can only give you 3 days but your willing to give them 7 days, maybe hes not fully commited to the relationship? I don't mean to be rude, although if my girlfriend would only be willing to tex met 3 days a week then i don't feel like they really want to have anything to do with me. take it easy.

Well done for your courage in coming forward with this! Sadly I agree with the other commentator below! It looks like the person you are writing to is just after a basic friendship and nothing more? If you are happy with that then fine? Personally when I've been in the situation, I haven't dropped that person, that is probably not what they want! But I have just gently tailed off the friendship, and I suggest you then look for someone who was appreciate a closer relationship with you!
