In this video we will be talking about 7 ways to stay focused from the wisdom of Miyamoto Musashi. Miyamoto Musashi is considered to be the greatest swordsman ever in the history of Japan, in large part due to his almost surreal discipline.
So here are 7 ways to stay focused from Miyamoto Musashi -
01. Find your one true passion
02. Avoid short-term pleasures
03. Never do anything with half-hearted effort
04. Let go of resentments
05. Do not regret anything
06. Do not chase love or lust
07. Accept life as it happens
I hope you enjoyed watching the video and hope you find these insights form Miyamoto Musashi very helpful for your focus.
A samurai at first, and then a Ronin, Miyamoto Musashi is considered to be the greatest swordsman ever in the history of Japan, in large part due to his almost surreal discipline. Indeed It is being said that he fought 60 duels, and never lost one. He fought for the first time when he was 13 against an experienced Samurai, and came out victorious. He took down the greatest swordsman at that time, one by one, until the throne was his, and his alone. However, Miyamoto was more than that. Not only was he a master of his craft, but he was also an artist, a cerebral philosopher and a buddhist. He sought meaning, wrote war and philosophy books, and his work became a blueprint for people who want to live a disciplined life. A week before he died in 1645, Miyamoto Musashi wrote 21 principles called “Dokkodo '' by which he expresses a stringent, honest, and ascetic or strongly self-disciplined view of life.

This is good so far. But do you understand that Musashi is "the greatest samurai". If you understand what a samurai is, you'll realize he was only one thing. All these are samurai practices, or the art form of living. The samurai poured tea with discipline. As a True Christian, I love his pursuit of Truth and honesty, the value towards human life, and the refinement of discipline this unique man possessed. These are all necessary for healthy Christian life, and our Lord Jesus Christ stressed the importance of these attributes. Musashi was Proto-christian, and that is in the Bible. How is the google profiting from one-liner sock puppets making comments? Plus more offensive ads! Maybe depoliticizing America's legal system would help? So: "A nonpartisan Justice may compel two recusals by junior partisan Justices." How about that idea?

@Miguel Silva one will never be truly prepared for the unexpected, but becoming more aware as to keep gaining friction will keep us numb, less fazed for future disasters. Truly accepting it is what it is and to let go off everything that is no longer beneficial in one's life. Is a hard lesson of reality we often ignore yet fall back into at deepest times. Have fun because were humans but be aware of its consequences and psychological challenges . this applies to thoughts, beliefs, and to everything we give attention as well. What you think of is essentially who you are, let your inner peace guide as you flow through the midst of the chaotic world. Or let your unrelenting wrath walk over the peaceful world to complete the quest. Goodluck

@@peteypete9357 they might be good friends if they don’t get tempted by temporary satisfaction such as anime, I used to watch so much anime throughout highschool and it took me until my senior year to realize anime/TVshows are a waste of time, energy, emotion and life, maybe I wouldn’t be the person i am today if I hadn’t watched so much anime, so i am greatful for the life lesson god had thought me. On the downside though, anime has probably developed my habit of getting distracted easily, but i will learn as I grow. Anyways bruv, your comment might have been a joke, but it’s quite serious in my perspective so I wanted to comment on it. My favorite thing about Musashi isn't in his books but in his mythos. The part of story about the shrine before his first duel to be exact. While still being revrent to the Gods he refrained from praying for favors. Instead he thanked them for all that he had been given at birth. That's the inner strength of a Sage. edited to correct: for praying to from praying.

Just a heads up, something i learned from a therapist. Cutting out all the short term gratifications doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to focus on your one true purpose/passion. I thought my shit was all muddied up because of them. Turns out, i was trying to use process of elimination. I had never figured out my passion to begin with, so constantly narrowing down was an effort in futility. There was nothing to narrow down to. I just kept cutting more and more things out of my life until i had basically nothing. This is to say, try to find what you're working towards FIRST. Idk i may have butchered what he was trying to teach me, but maybe this will help someone.

What? The chances of getting betrayed are much higher when you rule by fear. Besides, other people are human like you too, they like you make mistakes and want to be loved, if you love yourself, why wouldn't you love all of them? You will die, they will die, so you are meant to be in this together. You yourself wouldn't want to live in fear would you?
