I'm excited to tell you about my 7ft fiddle fig, Frederica. Early spring this year, I notched her in a couple of places, I cut off a little bit of the top and I repotted her. I didnt see anything happening for months I thought I had done too match. Then late July I noticed something happenening in one of the notches I made. Low and behold she was growing a new branch! I was so intent on watching this one spot that I never noticed until the leaves had opened that she also grew new leaves on the very top. WOW she was a busy girl this year. Next year I plan on notching her again on the other side!

I’ve learned so much from you, thx. I have 2 large Fiddle Leaf Fig trees, one nearing 7 ft, plus a miniature. I have notched & notched yet nothing. Finally I topped one recently & have it in water to root so hoping for new growth from topping it a month ago. I will be patient.🤞 In meantime my miniature has 5 stalks & in topping all 5 I now see new growth from all of the cuts. I have the cuttings in water & waiting for roots on them as well to start a miniature for my daughter. I shine my leaves, shake the stalks, use the water meter & do a slow feed fertilizer for Fiddle Leaf figs ev time I water. I had no idea this would be so much fun. 🤩

I have one very tall Fiddle Leaf Fig, and I love it!! I have had it for over 1 1/2 years, and just re-potted it yesterday (boy that was a tricky endeavor😮) I wish I had learned you offer FLF soil especially for this type plant, but I have had excellent luck with it so far, and I pray I can enjoy its beauty for many years to come. ❤ Thank you for your helpful information, I appreciate this.

Hi Claire. Do you recommend cutting a very large leaf (in proportion to the stem length) crosswise to reduce water loss, for proper photosynthesis? I’ve seen it done. And I think that’s the reason people do it. Thanks.
@FiddleLeafFigPlant
@FiddleLeafFigPlant 9 месяцев назад
Great question! I wouldn't recommend cutting the leaves unless you are looking to trim off any damage from the leaf itself. But this is an interesting question our other fiddle leaf fig lovers would like to consider! I have a fiddle leaf that I got at a lumber store it’s got two small trees and the main is two ( one root two stems) what’s the chance of splitting the main in the center and it surviving, they are so root bound it took three hours to get the roots untangled

Hi! I bought a fiddle fig tree 3 months ago from Lowe's. It was stunning, but the leaves quickly started getting brown spots and falling off. These spots consumed the entire tree. I pulled off the last remaining leaves a couple days ago but noticed it has 3 small bright green leaves growing at the top. After watching your videos I know what I did wrong, however for the roots rotting you suggest to act quickly. Do you think I still have time to save my tree? Thank you for your videos by the way. 💚

You can definitely save your plant! Make sure to water the plant thoroughly when the top inches of soil are dry. Fully soak the soil and ensure it drains really well out the bottom drainage holes. The plant should also be sitting directly in front of and up against your brightest window. Continue to care for the plant and in time more new growth will appear! For additional support, you can consider our Fiddle Leaf Fig Rescue Drops. 10 drops each and every time you water is all you need! amzn.to/3TQ82Os

Howmuch water do you put in your pot when the meter is below 3? Do you saturate the soil? I learned this from an online nursery & my leaves have been falling off a bit not too much browing though. I will be purchasing your products btw my plant will be gleaming in no time 🙌 #fiddleleafcult💚

Great question! Water when the top inches of soil are dry and ensure your water is draining properly out the bottom drainage holes. You want to make sure the soil and root ball has access to the water and there aren't any dry pockets. Hi Claire I need a solution to a problem of a friend's fiddle leaf she informed me that her fiddle leaf has small leaves she's seen mine so her plant doesn't have large leaves as mine and leggy too though it gets a lot of light and water. I'll be very thankful if u can solve this issue. Thanks ❤
@FiddleLeafFigPlant
@FiddleLeafFigPlant 10 месяцев назад
Is it getting enough nutrients? I recommend adding in a 3-1-2 NPK fertilizer like our certified 3-1-2 NPK Fiddle Leaf Fig plant food. That will help grow big, gorgeous green leaves! fiddleleaffigplant.com/food

I have a very small pot FLF (bought about 2 weeks ago now) which I can carry easily. I read that they don't really like to be moved around but every morning I put it on my balcony to get the morning sun. After a few hours I put it back in my room. Is this ok?
@FiddleLeafFigPlant
@FiddleLeafFigPlant 10 месяцев назад
That sound be fine! They don't like to be moved too much due to possible leaf trauma if they are brushing against walls etc. But giving your plant the sun it needs is fine.

I received a FLF as a gift last month and repotted it yesterday with your products. However, now I'm panicking that I did something wrong. Your soil bag says, when repotting, to water till it drains from the bottom. However, I added your root supplement and plant food which says to add 1 tsp of each to 2 cups water, which was not enough water to go through the soil and drain from the bottom. So I just kept adding more plant food/root supplement solution until it drained from the bottom (prob 8-10 cups). Have I made a fatal error? Should I have used plain water till it drained from the bottom and then added only 2 cups of plant food/root supplement solution?
@FiddleLeafFigPlant
@FiddleLeafFigPlant 7 месяцев назад
No harm to your plant! Next time, you can just add the 1tsp of each to your watering vessel as it is more than 2 cups. Then water thoroughly until it drains well out the bottom. Happy Growing!

Clair I’m a bit frustrated so bare with me. I emailed a year ago about root rot. Took your suggestions and well here we are again. This time I’ll take pictures. I reported my plants with the dirt you sell. I’m now buying the clay balls to put in a pot to re-pot again. Keep in mind this is a year later. I took ALL your suggestions and bought the root supplement for 2 weeks. Let it fully dry out then started watering again. Well it’s actually worse. Now I have 75% of the plant leaves Turning brown and crispy. I also repotted my 2 other fiddle fig into new pots washed cleaned and plus 2 more new bags of dirt. Now both of these plants are now starting with the brown on the outer edges of the leaves. I use a meter to show the moisture level, I also have light during the winter months and now back near the front of the house with sunlight. Is it a possibility that it could be the dirt?? How do I fix this problem before I loose these plants?? I’m getting upset because I have taken every precaution and have given them ample care. I don’t know what is wrong with these plants. PLEASE HELP?!!!!!
