Another tip for countering the spider bot which I see nobody talking about is that you can melee the bot just before it lands on your face to destroy it without it even clutching to you in the first place

I've known this since release however I only ever play after I've got home from the pub on a weekend drunk so the chances of me ever timing it right are zero

Yeah you do have to time it perfectly. Chances are, you miss the melee. I run around the corner and shoot it reload and use my left bumper ability.

If you're playing the cleaners and you have fire bomb equipped, you can also deal with phantom shield that way as well

As a reminder since they they Started the "Big Hurt" Community Challenge xDefiant players are now at 39,342,694,775 weapon damage.. check Ubisoft Challenges the counter is still ticking and tracking player damage.

nooo the phantom shield is soo sad in every demonstrable way haha! I have only managed to make it work on noobs - once the "grappler syndrome" wears off its the most trivial ability in the game LoL!

If someones running spiderbot I just switch to cleaners and firebomb. They never even have a chance to jump on you. The problem with aiming down at your feet is the spider is never far from its host player. Staring at the ground means you insta die anyway because they are not far behind.

As somebody who’s playing on 40 ping, game is pretty rough. I’ve got an upgrade to my equipment coming but damn. There’s a skill gap and then there’s a time to kill gap😂

Spider bot is buggy asf. I aim down and sometimes get 0 hit markers on the spiderbot.

i had that happen alot. I tested if its not registering hit markers on the spider bot when looking down spin in a circle as well until it does. guess there's a sweet spot

The only scenario where that stupid utility isn't a free kill is If an enemy shoots you down while you do it. Otherwise it's a low effort free kill utility

I know it sounds dumb, but trust me a lot of people don't know that, mostly because not every game works that way (which I think is kinda silly, it should be like that in every game haha)
