my 17 month old wakes up several times throughout the night stand up in his crib and just scream and cry and cry and scream. (I've tried waiting it out before without going into his room he cried for over an hour, no closer to stopping.) the only thing that comes down is for me or my spouse to go in there take him out of the crib rock him and give him water. Often when we put him back in the crib, the crying begins again and they stand right back up and we're back to square one. i am at a loss.

I'm sorry to hear hun. I've been there. One thing I've learned about kids and sleep is that their daily routine will affect how they sleep patterns. Does your son nap during the day? If not, try to follow the general rule of Sleep, eat and play throughout the day. (Watch this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G_blfGy2Ixc.htmlsi=TnFbvLs1hzmoo-MS) Also, what does his bed time routine look like?

Try giving him a bath before bed time, add a gentle head massage and body massage when applying lotion. I gave my 18m old a good 5 - 10 mins head massage and she slept like an angel. Now I tend to do it more often. Try these tips and let me know how you get on. Good luck mama 💙
