before borderlands 3 I thought that the worst thing would be for jack to come back and have everything revolve around him. now just please, borderlands has nothing else
I mean overusing jack was always an issue, tho listening to anything gameranx is always a fail. The problem with them now is that they can't write any type of villain or hero properly anymore
Jack's A.I possessing Timothy or Rhys is not the right call for BL4, I love jack but with this new team of writers they gonna transform him into something equal or worse than the calypso twins
I’ve been playing the pre sequel recently and when I launched it the other day and saw the pop up for the handsome collection replaced with a pop up for borderlands 4 I thought it was a joke. What an odd time to announce that. Maybe they thought people would like the movie
Before i share my opinion, i have to say that i also didn´t liked the calypso twins, because the story with them felt more like a funny sidequest. But on the other hand, i can not imagine Borderlands 4 (and sequels in the future) with Jack again. In my opinion, if the Borderlands series would go on with Jack as the always returning Antagonist, it could feel like playing the Super Mario games with the same plot all the time, only with some small variations again and again. I dont think i would want that.
A skip button, alongside a dialogue mute for replays of the game. I don't want to stand there while a character moves around, I want to run through the game again and conquer speed runs lol. Secondly, way better open worlds, or smaller worlds with better stuff in a condensed area. Better vehicles as well, ones that make you want to drive them. Lastly, just a thing I'd enjoy, I would like the ability to transfer gun parts here and there. I like grinding for guns, but not thousands of runs for a perfect gun. Maybe make certain parts rarer than others? This last one is just a nitpick. I'd be so happy with the earlier things fixed.
Part of me wants to say they already knew that bringing jack back was not a good idea, but they just wanted to frame it as "We listen to the fans and the community" kind of thing.
@@drakethename This is the type of stuff that makes me think people like Red Letter Media and other RU-vidrs have way more influence than we think. Seriously though, I can't believe the decision for the main plot of BL3 was influenced that easily. I pretty much hate Borderlands, but big decisions like that being made so easily actually triggers my primal ape brain.
BL2 Tannis would have a line about wearing wind instruments as footwear to "run like the wind" or something to that effect. She's not crazy anymore though.
cant wait for “waiting around while an npc yaps simulator 2” im so excited to see all the cool setpieces we’ll stand around in while someone gives a massive monologue
Same, it's the main reason I only ever played Wonderlands ONE TIME, and often put off making new characters in BL3, having played Borderlands on and off for thousands of hours since 2009.
@@nottyseel949 Lack of play testing I think... doesn't take long to realise that pacing destroying AFK sections aren't good, but the devs won't know unless they actually play their games.
I agree with all the points made in this video ESPECIALLY with giving Oboe a free copy of BL4 So he can make another brand activated video about it when he gets it
I never in my life thought one of my favorite phantom forces RU-vidrs would interact with my favorite game series of all time. Nice seeing you here, strider.
You NEED to do an "Army of Me" run in the presequel. 4 player co-op, everyone as the decoy jack, and you have to.... A) All pick the skills that give you even more holo-jacks B) All drop your skill against bosses and big mobs, till there's like sixteen jacks and holo clones swarming in and, most importantly C) keep all the call outs turned on I doubt you'll ever drop a random Jack quote again, hearing 'Corrosion' will give you PTSD flashbacks by the end.
I'm so conflicted by your videos. Sometimes the Bionicles wear on me and then you do a Weezer / Borderlands crossover I didn't know I needed and you win me back.
@@Bananaman-yw4uq Like if you said Legos in general I would not hesitate to agree but Bionicles are just a little past my millennial life. I understand why they're significant to some, just not so for me Mr. Banana.
I'd like to see some recognizable areas. We didn't really get any of that in Borderlands 3. We got to see Arid Badlands (Turned Nexus) in Borderlands 2 and that was awesome. I know it's really far into the story/lore but I'd love to see an Abandoned Vault, degraded Dahl Headlands or even Fyrestone again. I'm also ok with all those locations being completely nuked but let us at least see the road that started our journey's to begin with.
Based. I genuinely expected: Number One: Graphics Number Two: Gameplay Number Three: Moving with the left analog stick Definitely something Oboe would do.
I was really wondering how the video was going to be 5 mins long when he was at number 6 at like 1 minute. I can't say I'm incredibly surprised but it was still absolutely great.
they should set borderlands 4 on earth, and instead of being about a wild crew of misfits looking for treasure and using wacky guns and powers, it should be a canadian high school drama featuring a diverse cast of young adults experiencing relatable problems of our modern times
you shouldn't need a Gfuel drink to collab with Caffeine man. In fact, whenever Caffeine man is not on screen you should be asking "where is Caffeine man?"
Jack can come back but we need mr burch to say sayanara cause we are gonna need some new good writer either that or just let the actor for jack wing it like he did for all the good lines he did
What a well thought out and articulated video. I'm feeling very influenced right now. Time to go listen to Weezer. That was the point of the video, right?
