One tip I can’t believe I haven’t seen in these videos is to equip the red ant armor, and go to the ant hill. You can attack large bugs you can’t kill solo yet and lure them back to the hill (there’s orb weavers, stink bugs, beetles and ladybugs all within
Here's a tip: if you need loads of resources, take a grass plank/stem pallet with you! Walk up to the empty pallet, select Relocate, and then head off. Be sure to place it occasionally because if a bug attacks you could end up canceling the relocation and have to hike all the way back or place a waypoint where you leave it if you're up to the gamble. This lets you transport a FULL pallet PLUS the 5 you can carry in a single trip!
I think more than anything else, it's super important to learn Perfect blocking. Having upgrades/pets/resources etc doesn't really matter if the only way you know how to fight wolf spiders is cheesing them with bow spam or avoiding them altogether. You shouldn't have to be like 50+ hours into the game just to able to properly fight most common enemies. It's much faster and more permanent to spend like, at MOST 5 hours learning consistent perfect blocking instead
Plus you can't cheese every enemy in the game though that one youtuber Milton seems to have a quest to find a way to do it XD But yah I agree learning to P-Block is a must as it reduces damage way more than your armor will ever do.
Hey jade so I can’t remember which video you showed it in, but the one where you can glitch grab the prod smacker through the glass you said you can’t get into the chest that way , but I just found a way to do it ! I took a picture of exactly where I am sitting if you’re interested in seeing that
So basically you crouch and go around the backside where the chest is , sit right next to the chest and look down at about a 45 degree angle and you’re not gonna be directly facing the chest you’ll be looking slightly left , do all of this with wide interaction on in the settings and you’ll find that sweet spot 👍🏼
Some of the glitches have been patched there was a wolf spider one at the fallen log where you could shoot it through some leaves and it would lunge at you and get it stuck When I went to do this yesterday no matter how many times I tried it would always follow the same path backward out the entrance and jump over the leaves and into your nightmare
@@yerma6847 yeah I’m sure they’ll patch a lot of these exploits pretty quick, like cheesing the black widow under the tool box , but currently this one I’m talking about still works , take advantage while you still can
I think another one is get used to the attack patterns of bugs if youre going to run a more melee build. If you know when you'll take damage it's easier to throw up your shield right before the attack hits giving you a parry instead of a block. How I learned was I was scared of facing the wolf spider and it showed up one morning at my little camp so I had to keep dying and learn to block and parry until it died. I make base usually by the SPAC.R
Thats honestly the best way to do it and thats how i learned as well, we built by the pond out front of the oak lab and theres a patrol of wolf spiders that roll by every so often, and unfortunately the damn thing got aggro’d and follow up the rock into our base and we kept dying over and over again until we either learned to parry or whittled it down
If you guys need bug goop and don't feel like fighting stuff, you can jump on top of a Rolly Polly, pop a bug with an arrow and when it goes to attack you, it will hit the Polly, causing him to fight it for you. It may take a minute, but it's better than having to do it yourself, especially when you first get to the upper yard where the Lady Birds and Lady Bird Larvae hit a little hard.
I tried this with a black box beetle, and the roly poly did no damage to the beetle, but otherwise, yes, I love doing this with lady bugs too, you just have to remember to jump off after the poly or ladybug gets angry cuz they'll accidentally hit you
True but you have to out of your way to get them all, and players don't know that as it isn't shown 45/45 milares etc, I would like a smoothie that resets ya points still tbo
@@jeffjacobi6854 When you collect a milk molar, everyone gets one milk molar point individually. When you collect a mega milk molar, everyone shares that point. Hope this helps
@@JadePGC would also be nice if they showed on the map after they're collected. The worst thing is having 5 left to get and you have no idea which ones you have remaining.
nice video, 1 tip i would give to people is mess around with right click/ LT a lot. You can cancel the animation after a 3 hit combo to swing a little faster again, you can right click switch from one weapon to another to instantly have it out and you can also dig up a grub/ larva, but as soon as your shovel digs it up right click and insta swap to your weapon. That lets you bypass the rest of the shovel coming up animation, its very useful early game if you want to grind larva, as it lets you get hits in very fast.
Theres a spot for a good base next to the pond. It's towards the Frankenline machine heading from the oak tree. It's a large flat rock with an underpass. Every single time I've been raided here, the bugs just gather under the rock and eventually lose interest and the raid ends. No bugs can get to you either when you're on the rock. (Except for flying bugs, and the occasional spider that jumps ar you if it's agro'd on you.)
Later on as you play and when you get the right armor/weapons you can kill anything you come across with ease. I can everything easily including the widow but my if you dont want to fight a lot ive built by base on the pond close to the frisbee and nothing attacks me at it. Its the 3rd base ive built and i recommend it as a base location because you dont get bothered by anything
I was surprised that you don't get tier 2 marble and whetstone crafting recipe after the termite king. Luckily I had found more then enough material to upgrade what I needed but that in single players.
6. Bug Raiding. And yes. I've killed lots of Wolf Spiders and Orb Weavers than Larvae and Mites. Built my base beside the Oak Tree so it primed my ability to fight them with Tier 1 equipment and lots of parrying.
I haven’t played grounded before. I noticed the raids on my base, started happening right after clearing the hedge lab. Then all of a sudden it was orb weavers destroying all my stuff.
One tip that got me and my friends through the early game is cheese, we couldn't really kill a wolf spider by ourselves even with some of us having t2 gear, but my dear friend thats where the ladybug comes in, using the other bugs to fight the big evil scary bugs is one of the best ways to kill them, if you can find a neutral animal and get a hostile one to attack it, and you just double team it its just so easy to kill them.
Maybe they shouldn't allow your pet to get into fights. Maybe it can go into your backpack as long as there is one free space, or they can just make them invulnerable. Plus, there are a few great places to build your base that raids don't really pose much threat. I built one base on a lily pad and I have never had a raid with mosquitos. I use the leaf to jump to get there so no bugs can reach it. The flat rock by the red ant hill/mixer, and the flat rock by the shed next to the pupa/fertilizer are 2 other places. Even if you build stairs the bugs don't use them. They just destroy them. Then they can't get into your base. If there is a spot or two low enough where they can jump up, all you have to do is guard those chokepoints. Easy Peezy.
It took me forever to figure out how to make whetstone when they made that change. Very annoying, and it didn't make sense that you needed to use the workbench.
Lady bugs and red ants are your best friends early game getting scary stuff killed. Grab enough to build red ant armor you can pretty much lure everything but wolf spider to hill and the swarm will take care of it. Or hop on a friendly lady bug and use it as a meat shield. Take 3-4 orb weavers to kill on Ladybug though wolfs can kill it though if you assist with a bow from far away you’ll beat the spider, but in lower yard ladybug is the 2nd strongest thing outside of wolf spider. It takes everything ganging up on it to kill one and they are docile unless “attacked” so you can hop on their back to bait other things into messing with them. They can’t do much to bees tho so don’t piss them off unless you can deal with them yourself
I think the crit chance increase after crit on the Blossom Assassin armor is bugged. Something isn't working as intended because I was testing the armor and weapon in creative and I was stunning myself when I would crit. The crit chance with Coup De Grass and Spider Slider alone should be around 35% and even if the set bonus only adds 5% it's still proc'ing way too little. I would have crit with the Blossoming Scythe more often than the once in 20 swings I was consistently hitting.
I believe that there is a bug with the cutman passive as well. It seems that you can proc it on yourself. While testing, I found that the bleed procs seem to actually be a small AOE, and thus you can hit yourself with it. I hope this gets fixed soon 😕
@@mrlg6681 I also found for some reason that the scythe is affected by the Assassin perk for daggers and not the chopper perk for axes even though the scythe technically is an axe. I won't complain because extra bleed is always appreciated but it just doesn't make sense lol
Yes I found this out as well when I had acquired the first rank of the assassin mutation while using this weapon. This is just a guess here, but I believe that my previous issues with the aoe bleed can be seen in other examples as well. Im sure you’ve experienced parrying and stunning multiple enemies in close proximity, with only a single parry.
what i do sometimes is i hit like a wolf spider and run and stand on a ladybug and then when the wolf spider goes to attack you itll hit the ladybug and then theyll fight, you can do the same thing in the upper yard with black oxs, ladybirds and even infected wolf spiders if you hop on a roly poly
I did the same but now its too late lmao I have tier 3 things roly poly armor, mint mace, rusty spear, coaltana, black ox, termite ax, and black ox hammer. I just turned it on yesterday and I think I'm at day 90-95
Soo I have unlocked the repair glue literally 3 different ways and still cannot access the blueprint in crafting tab....what do I do?! Is it broken in the game atm?!?! I need it desperately at this point to upgrade things..please help, I have tried everything and looked everywhere.
I want so badly to watch all your videos but I’m trying to avoid all spoilers. I’m halfway though clearing the lower yard of all major objectives/chips etc. Then I’ll move up to the upper yard. That’s my plan anyway I get distracted a lot.
idk if the pets are bugged but my friend and i have a pet weevil and its invincible. i have shot it, chopped it and tryed to kill it and ants have also and it just waltzes its way along
didn't knew about the raids, im in like day 15 and just casually started building the base near the pond and the oak tree, close to juice box. i hope the bugs will despawn after some time, or something, or at least they do not destry the base so much, this will be too sad
Me and my bf have only played our world for two days but last night, maybe an hour before we got off, an orb weaver raid happened. We where very confused and panic. We only had two jr ones destroy our juice container. But it showed something was attacking something we built over by the milk box. (We to the right of the oak tree on the bricks that edge the pond. We have our stuff built against the juice box) we are building walls now tho
I hope they add a way to craft the final upgrading stones to Max our gear out if they're not going to have a new game plus when the game fully released it started my game over for story purposes but everything respawned even though I already collected some of the locations good thing I did
@@merku2day wdym spoke too soon? Did they update it just now with craftable premium stones? :o (edit: yes u can craft tier 3 stones/plates but its very late game..)
@@dovahking6514 not trying to spoil too much but to sum it all up all upgraded stones will be craftable at some point you know through getting chips Etc
Forgot to mention you can kill your own pets lol I had a pet gnat for inventory purposes and it decided to boop me mid fight with orbi Jr and yeah there goes the stuff I put in its inventory lol
They've done it wrong in my opinion, they should of made it so you can graft to upgrade gear without the need to proceed in the story campaign giving the player full control of when they choose to upgrade gear, the way they've done it means you can't play through the story with the gear you want to progress with.
It takes a lot of time but build ya base at the top of the oak tree be prepared to die a lot if you don’t have a dandelion flower when you fall and trust me ya gonna fall off a lot lol
My step bro purposely made the fire ants want us gone so that he could get more fire ant resources for the weapons and armour so we are waiting for them to raid our 1 base 😐
is this weird? i got attacked by orb weavers just after i finished like the hedge lab.. i only killed like 4, a few spiderlings and a few orb weavers jrs. also i have a base at the upper yard ascent, what would attack me? im scared because i don’t even have a tear 3 weapon yet lol edit: i have a mint mace so if ladybird larvas wanna fight they will get their ugly little butts kicked in
Raids happen because you kill enough of an enemy type that you raise a bar to the point they'll go after you eventually. I'm pretty sure that meter depletes after a raid. Though as you progress through the story those raids get bigger and bigger. But I don't think it ever gets insane like 5+ big enemies or anything. They reduced the amount of big enemies in the 1.0 patch I believe.
I've gotten Orb Weaver raids every time I've been out to the Hedge Lab. I've been up there 3 times to collect the chip and then later to clean it out of resources and molars and have had a raid every night I got back to camp. I went out of my way to chop up all the web sacs so I must have killed dozens of those spiderlings. Kinda understand why they wanted me dead.
Upgrades are an obvious mechanic not sure why everyone feels the need to add one of the most basic features in every video. I get the further upgrades but the basic lvl 1-6 are just basic curiosity, you gotta be pretty stupid to buy a stationand not be the least bit curious of what it's for.
You assume to much, majority of comments I have seen are explaining upgrades, noone is disputing the early ones but there is nothing in the gane that tells you, you can craft ya own out of bug part till you finish the black ant Hill, progression wise ND that's like the last progression dungeon out of 4, so yes it is needed to explain, aslo they changed this a bunch so even older players are wondering what or how to unlock the later tiers
@@JadePGC I'm literally an older player I still have a save from 2020, people are either to lazy to read or overlook any information the game gives you. I'm sorry the majority of your community lack common sense and curiosity.
@@ifs-wolves9034 yawn, it snot my community its teh average viewer and player, teh like ratio is 99% psotive, its ok to be more experienced and toa degree it does guid eyou through teh tutorials but nowhere does it say you wil be able to craft as much upgrade rocks a smuch as you want out fo bug parts once you find the correct recipe until you actually find it 60% into teh game
@@JadePGC Again Maybe if you don't read and pay attention when going through your crafting menu, it's a survival game if you ain't the least bit attentive when you pick up stuff or I don't know scroll through your crafting menu and find the items with the big-ol exclamation mark then that's on you. No one should have to baby step the obvious, your location guides are actually decent as it can be a bit troublesome exploring the map but anything that's either explained when purchasing it from BURG.L or just read in either it's item description or just found through actually paying attention shouldn't require a video. I can understand some parts being hard to understand but the majority of basic unlocks up untill you get the final super chip Is openly explained or readable.
I kinda think they should add quartz etc to occasional mission rewards, not as common thing, but enough to prevent some the potential progression issues if you not make the right choices early.
I think they should make it impossible to accidentally throw your upgraded weapons and then not be able to recover them. Maybe they could give you the option with game repair to recover dropped weapons like they do with the backpack.
me and my buddies have a save file of like 50 days ingame time and never got a raid? We have a base near the blue cap of the molar bottle on the stones (because its flat) and we are confused because we went out and made EVERYTHING Want us gone. Any reason this might be?
@@JadePGC Maybe a game setting? Because we were playing and the dying became tiresome because we were returning players but we intend on doing a woah mode file after this easier one.
When a roly poly balls up and starts healing, if your throw a mint mace at it, it will instantly knock it out of ball mode, it will still heal, but you can do full damage then at least. Also, not sure if this is a bug or not but my mint mace disappears a lot if i throw it, like it just falls out of the map. May be a bug with PC
I never tried throwing a weapon on purpose before. Usually when I'm spamming attack I throw my axe into the distance. As for the mint mallet I usually just beat on the poly and deal slightly more damage than it heals. I will try throwing stuff now once 1.0 update finishes on my console. Thanks
My favorite build spot for my forever home is the big flat step next to the bbq grill spill. Nothing can even get to our base with raids. Maybe some fliers, but hasn't happened yet. It's the perfect location.
Jade you know the way you said about me killing all termites in that livestream why do I have to do that because I done that a few days ago before that live stream I really need help as all my 179 days in the backyard will be useless now
Hey man thanks for the video great tips. I just started recently with a friend of mine and he always hosts. I'm wondering if there is way for me to access the same map when I want to play solo or if he always has to invite me to his map.
After you’ve upgraded it to LVL 5 you’ll see a bunch of icons show up next to the image of your weapon/tool when in the smithing station interface. Just move to the icon you want (in this case Salty) and you can use the salt globs (5 to start) you make in the Oven to upgrade it along that path. You’ll see a warning pop up letting you know that once you go down a particular upgrade path you can’t undo it (you can always make another weapon/tool and go another route though), but as long as you’re sure just click ok and it’ll start you down the salty upgrade path.
I have a question if someone can answer for me please? Im a fan of throwing spears but im wondering that if i upgrade a spear weapon does it count for all spears i craft? Cause if i throw the upgraded spear then end up losing the spear cause i cant find it, do i lose the spear upgrades?
@@JadePGC i usually keep several in my backpack cause sometimes i just wana stay far and throw from there. Its awesome to know that my spear upgrades count for all my spears and not just the one equipped. Thank you
@@kevinsims5791 I think you misunderstood him. Weapon upgrades are individual to one weapon. If you upgrade one spear and have three more, only the one you upgraded will have upgrades, if you lose that one, you’ll have to upgrade the other ones. So no, upgrades do not carry over across weapon types, they’re individual to each weapon.
@@Henry-iz7iv damn! Thank you for clarifying. My original questions were oppositr each other so i was confused when he just said yes. So i just replied like that to hope that the answer then becomes clear. Thank you though for clearing it up.
It's stupid that you have to fight a hard fight to get it though medium. Acts like hard mode we tried everything tried it in mild didn't at all they need to make it so you can get the chip before that it should not be behind a story boss
