I hope bouncers get paid well, they deserve "hazard pay." Except for the bouncers that misuse or abuse their authority. That patron that whipped out a knife and stabbed Wyatt is a coward. Abusing a woman and then stabbing an unarmed man that was trying to do the right thing.
That story with Linda and her dad Sam, was like a modern day fairytale. I'm so happy for the author addiction is a hard battle to fight and coming out on the UP side so I'm extremely happy for him. I hope Karma got that ex that lied on him
I did a little bouncing in Knoxville TN. I had a couple close calls. A guy tried to draw a pistol on me but he telegraphed it so while his hand was reaching into his waist I was able to wrap up, lift, run w him, and slam both of us onto the ground. My coworkers ran over quick and we wore him out and had him arrested.
That’s a far better story than the first one where the potential MMA Superstar gets his ass handed to him in a real bar fight and then defaults to …..auto repossession. I guess no college degree is involved here.
@@donjohnson5123 I wasn't attending school. I moved there because I was dating this girl who was going to school to be a corporate lawyer. She turned out to be a head case though.
@@donjohnson5123 Why so bitter and disrespectful? Dude got hit in the head with a bottle that apparently caused some sort of internal bleeding. Yeah, that's gonna do damage to anyone no matter what sort of champion you are.
Normally these stories never really affect me, but the 2nd story about Wyatt touched something in me. It was super sad and I honestly hope that OP is okay wherever they are in life now :/
It did me too...actually made me cry I lost someone i loved too different circumstances(in my case was suicide...) but know how the author to a point felt so really hit me
@@EmiFromMars I'm so sorry to hear that.. Hope you're okay :/ My father died in a work related accident when I was 12, and I think OP's situation of their entire world suddenly being torn apart is what really connected with me.
I read this comment before hearing Wyatts story. A gut 👊. I was not expecting him to die. What a horrible way to go and such insanity out there. I too hope op is doing well.
The 2nd story where the writer said 22 years later and the reader still loves him and saying how he was the one it got me crying I'm on my way to see my boyfriend and I can't imagine him being taken away from me.
@@metallisha1111 I won’t lie my humour is rather dry and I may have mis read the comment after having a second glance 😂 glad you’re alive and kicking anyway lmao, all the best to you!
I only have bad memories of bouncers in the UK, some (not all, of course) are on power trips, choosing to be nasty to people they didn't want coming into pubs and clubs. These stories were sad, but really well told.
Story 2 made me cry and cry...i lost someone i loved too, was different circumstances(in my case was suicide..) but knew how the author felt too a point so really hit me and felt for her so so much..i hope shes doing ok..
I’ve bounced for the last 5 years. These stories sound completely unbelievable until you’ve actually done the job. Then it just sounds like a Wednesday.
Iove UFC. my favourite all timer (whose had a bad streak) tony Ferguson. We even chat on Instagram. It's crazy how real life is so much more dangerous. No referees, no rules, just crazy. Bouncers and doormen have my full respect. In Stockport, UK, one of our local bouncers had his ear sliced off for no reason whatsoever about 10 years ago...and he's still doing the job... Hard as nails man yet lovely and polite 🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧❤️🇬🇧
Thank you Lets Read. Giving individuals an anonymous forum in which to tell their personal experiences is hopefully therapeutic. Everyone just wants to be heard. Ya know?
The second last story as he started to explain why he was posting this story and that he is starting to walk I instantly had tears just flowing down my face my boyfriend looked at me and was Luke what's wrong what happened as in listen with head phones lol I'm so happy one of these story has a pretty good out cone

Hey, Joel--I sure do enjoy your content. You do a phenomenal job at whatever topic you choose; you truly are a natural. Thank you for never failing to deliver! I work nights, and I rely on you to help calm me down before I fall asleep. I try to listen to your videos and sleep to either your older content & a few others. You have become one of my very favorite narrators. Thanks for all you do! Grateful for you~Kim💗💗💗
The story where the boyfriend in the secret relationship was killed, he shouldn't have intervened. I get that he was concerned about the woman being hurt badly by her psychotic boyfriend, but when you see something like that, the best thing to do, is to call the police. The lawyer though, he was a moron, claiming that the psycho boyfriend was defending himself, OP's boyfriend turned from him to talk to the girlfriend. That was not self defence. It's also quite possible that this wasn't his first offence. I hope that he can live with the blood on his hands and if karma hasn't come for him yet, being in jail for a few years is hardly karma, I hope it comes for him soon.
Joel you are greatest narrator alive today and you are narrator god. I took Stephanie and Brandon out to dinner we’re at Olive Garden and Brandon loves the ravioli. Joel my brother and cult master take care and enjoy your weekend I’ll see you.
My good friend was a bouncer he got shot working the doors because he turned them away as they were to intoxicated to come in the club so the vile human went and got his friend drove by and shot him one bullet destroyed a family doing his job at 40pound a night to be killed and they were never ever found….. 🥺💔😢 1976 /2015 R.I.P brother big friendly giant hart of gold missed and talked about everyday 🙏 daddy to two beautiful girls and the most amazing wife milly ❤❤❤ and respect to many door men out there from the…….. from a uk girl 😊
My father back in the 70's and 80's was a bouncer in his early 20's, he said the scariest thing that he had been apart of was. One night he was walking out into the club parking lit after a long shift, he saw a guy assaulting a young lady, he ran up to the guy pulled him off, grabbed his pocket knife and stabbed him in the side, he got the women into her car and told her to Leave. After she left he ran off because he got scared. He doesn't know what happened to ether since that day.
The person in story 3 is bad at math. 'He was convicted in late 2018 and given 7 years, so he's probably out by now' Uh no he's not; it's only 2022 lmao
Story #6 I wonder if this is the Ray Lewis incident or something that recently happened. Last story so the bouncers were allowed to beat someone almost to death/diminished capacity?! Civil lawsuit, sue them for money.
Some people give bouncers a bad name by having a power trip i had an incident with one when just had it in for me it was horrible but I don't hold it against all bouncers
