While there are a lot of cirrhosis symptoms, there are a few main warning signs you need to be aware of.
Cirrhosis is end-stage liver disease. With liver cirrhosis, a person’s normal cells are replaced with scar tissue. This typically starts with inflammation.
Many different things can cause inflammation in the liver, like alcohol, drugs, and refined carbs. A fatty liver can also develop inflammation.
The liver has incredible reparative cells that lay dormant until they are triggered by chronic inflammation. But, you still lose function.
A loss of liver function can increase your risk for liver cancer. It can also cause a bile deficiency, which can affect your digestion and the elimination of cholesterol and toxins. Liver damage can lead to many other health issues that affect the entire body.
Top warning signs of cirrhosis:
1. Dark urine
2. Mood and personality changes
3. Ascites (fluid leaking from the liver into the abdomen)
4. Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)
5. Tiredness
6. Right upper abdominal discomfort
7. Itchy, hot feet
What to do for cirrhosis of the liver:
1. Stop the root cause (carbs, alcohol, drugs, etc.)
2. Take TUDCA (750 to 1500 mg per day on an empty stomach)
3. Take tocotrienols (300 mg per day)
4. Consume more cruciferous vegetables
5. Get on the Healthy Keto diet
6. Start doing intermittent and prolonged fasting
Keep in mind that medications can also affect the liver. Milk thistle is a fantastic natural remedy for the liver and many other conditions-it would be worth talking to your doctor about.
If you have an autoimmune disease that affects the liver, you may want to try bovine liver pills to help reduce inflammation and reset the liver.
Check with your doctor before stopping or replacing any medications.

I was given 24-48 hrs. to live. If anything past that, i would be put on hospice. After two weeks of intense regimented hospital care, i was released. Death was imminent. I began a diet of leafy greens, beet juice, green tea, fruits and doubled up on milk thistle. It is 8 yrs. later and I am still here. A one in a billion chance. I like to think that my faith in God helped tremendously. Round the clock nurse care for those weeks didnt hurt.

🤷 My Doc is still in shock and wondering, how the hell did she heal herself of liver cirrhosis 🤷🤷. Hmm,😘😘 if I could finally heal myself without doctor's help against all odds even when my Doc said I will be needing a transplant then anybody who is determined and disciplined enough to avoid and accepts the dos and don't of such illness or even others can heal themselves too. Sending life and positive energy to all who are struggling to heal themselves naturally. This is me saying natural healing is possible. God bless you Doc Berg, you re my number 1 inspiration on this journey of self healing and helping others heal themselves too..

I can’t say this is for everyone, but that’s what I did. I was up to 1/2 a fifth or more daily at around $1,000 a month since I was drinking moderately expensive Scotch. I was going to die. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis in August of 2021 I immediately stopped drinking and began eating mor healthily nothing special just obvious stuff plus exercise, I was tempted many times to drink again ..I had tests like bereavement, exposure to party environments, lack of understanding from friends but I didn't crack pure willpower did it .. 20 month's later all my bloods are normal, my latest liver ultrasound scan revealed that everything was normal and I have an only mildly fatty liver..which is a complete turnaround from ascites, weakness, man boobs, pain in upper stomach yellow eyes swollen ankles, i still can't believe it.. the biggest test is to come, can I avoid a relapse into alcohol... What does help is videos like this showing that I am not alone and that you can survive cirrhosis..

First of all, may GOD continue to bless you and help heal your body. Glad you were able to combat this issue which is honorable in my opinion. I too like a drink and have been doing some since a teenage (if im being honest). I know it's a difficult process but you have already found success when you decided to change. What I would like to know is it you can expand on the man boobs situation. I am still dealing with this issue at 40 years old. Been at the gym for a consistent 6 months now. I do notice some change in my body due to working out and diet. However, I am somewhat unfamiliar with the effects of alcohol as it pertains to man boobs. More importantly, I have no recollection of ever learning or hearing about man boobs as it would pertain to Cirrhosis. I'd really appreciate a response either way. Please take care and GOD bless!
@Andy_1964
@Andy_1964 Год назад
@@johnstamos4325 thankyou for your blessings John I will explain my experience of 'man boobs' ... They began as small lumps behind each nipple that were a bit tender to the touch, I immediately went to my doctor who referred me to our local hospitals breast clinic for a mammogram, I provided a list of medication that I was taking to combat the effects of cirrhosis which included a diuretic 'aldactone' this I was prescribed to me for my acites which had become quite severe.. one of the known side effects of aldactone is stimulation of the female hormone estrogen which in turn stimulates breast growth, okay.. now I had the mammogram and the specialist doctor immediately told me that it wasn't cancerous and asked about had I any underlying conditions such as liver damage, I explained that I had been diagnosed with cirrhosis, after hearing this she explained to me that a damaged liver often over produces estrogen and testosterone in disproportionate amounts, basically it's not working properly.. so my man boobs that at this stage had become quite noticeable and sore were a side effect of the medication and liver damage.. my liver specialist and my GP agree with this diagnosis...so I halved the medication (aldactone) and continued a good diet alcohol free and over the last few months my man boobs are subsiding and while not completely gone they are diminished in size and not as tender to the touch.. I was told by my doctor that this condition would take time to clear completely and it is all subject to my lifestyle being healthy.. no miracle cure just doing the right things, a good metal attitude also helps, I think you have to want to get better and actively search out solutions for yourself.. doctors can help but a lot of it is up to ones self.. I hope I have been of some small help to you John, I wish you well, may goodness bless you ..

@@johnstamos4325 Hey John, may I add a thought as well. Just like Andy mentioned, some medications can be the reason. However, in my research, environmental toxins like EDCs (endocrine disruptors) are probably the biggest elephant in the room. So about the Alcohol: remember, alcohol is a toxin. it can disrupt hormone balance in the body by affecting the production, metabolism, and regulation of various hormones, it may lead to an increase in estrogen levels OR a decrease in testosterone levels (ratio is key), contributing to man boobs. alcohol damages the liver (so as bad foods, medications, environmental toxins etc) which can lead to cirrhosis. As the liver becomes more damages and less efficient at metabolising hormones and toxins, there may be an accumulation of estrogen and other substances in the body like EDCs, further exacerbating hormonal imbalances and contributing to man boobs. things like phthalates or Bisphenols have been linked to man boobs. and as liver is struggling to detox toxins out of the body BUT the chemicals like EDCs (synthetic estrogens aka zenoestrogens) keep coming in with food/personal care products/plastics etc - the body starts reacting accordingly and grows tissues that would normally grow with the presence of high estrogens. Remember> Estrogen is known as a proliferative hormone, meaning it promotes the growth and development of certain tissues in the body such as the uterus and breast tissue. Synthetic estrogens coming with water and food (in plastics),personal care products (deodorants, soaps, perfumes (big one, full of phthalates), washing powders, anything with synthetic fragrance, even cash register receipts etc) - all bind to estrogen receptor. SO yes, it's important to stop alchohol consumption as it makes liver less efficient at getting rid of excess hormones and toxins, but at the same time it's crucial to avoid all EDCs as much as possible!. This is something that nobody talks about, but I can't emphasise enough how important it is.

Wow this is an eye opener. The liver affects the thyroid 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not only does that explains a lot of things for me personally, but also highlights how one organ is interdependent on another. However, I've had fatty liver for over 30 years and all that was ever said to me by my doctors was to not worry about it. Well, here I am at age 62 and my blood work was beginning to show low iron. When I went for a routine endoscopy, the doctor realized that I had Cirrhosis. Upon following it further, the liver specialist told me that I showed no symptoms as of yet, but to get into eating healthier. I don't drink or do drugs I told the specialist. He said that this happens due to years of fatty liver. I wish someone had warned me in my 20's when my liver enzymes were elevated. Thank you again, Dr. Berg!

Just to tell anyone who sees this and struggling right now with your health that there is hope, just want to let you know that you can, yes! Self healing is possible, I have been afflicted, and abandoned to die cos they all thought my case is imposible, buy heaven stood by me and the knowledge I have about self healing, home remedies and other factors played key role to my healing. Most importantly is having a determined and positive mindset. Believe you are healed and no devil can stop your healing. My doc categorically told me I can't, But today he has eaten his words and still confused and does want me to tell others about it. But I will keep saying and shouting it, self healing is possible if you re determined and believe. No disease is incurable, worse of when you place it at the feet of my Jesus.

How is milk thistle not on the list of tonics? 10 years ago (2012) a relative who had abused painkillers and alcohol for years went into liver failure . They had zero appetite (dropped 30 pounds in a month), couldn't eat/defecate, smelled of ammonia on short walk I dragged them on, random chills, could barely sleep, finger nails were starting to curl and would turn purple with chills from lack of blood flow, hiccups, upper abdominal pain, zero energy, etc. Doctors were useless. He quit his job a few weeks after symptoms and made a will. He was laying on his sofa waiting to die. I googled away and found milk thistle was prescribed in Germany for liver ailments. I bought him NOW 300mg milk thistle and he started taking it 3x a times a day. Within 3 days his appetite came back as his liver started functioning again. He's still alive now. I believe he takes milk thistle once a day, twice if he had a few beers (amazing). I think he has a few once or twice a year. I know he also eats steamed broccoli a lot, says he can "feel it" the next day. But the milk thistle is a bandaid. He said if he doesn't take it at least once every 2-3 days he starts feeling sick again and symptoms start creeping in. I even tried the milk thistle and the other thing he uses...Himalayan liver care. OMG the Himalayan one made magnificent BMs lol. I think it bumps up bile production or something.

I am so thankfully for you. Because of you, I weaned myself off of 5 medications. No one mentioned gut health and mental health go hand and hand. I found this to be really useful information, because it covers so many areas that are all inter-related. The human body is indeed complex. I cannot believe that some think this is all random "amoeba soup". It is a clear sign of super-duper intelligent design. All we are doing, is trying to reverse-engineer how things work, and how to make ourselves healthier by following what the original "design" was - which by definition is Nature.

Cirrhosis is no joke. I was diagnosed in 2017. Mine was caused, it turned out, by hereditary hemochromatosis and alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, plus an unhealthy diet. I had all the symptoms except ascites. I took milk thistle but my liver was too far gone for it to help much. In Early 2021 I developed a hepatocellular carcinoma, and was placed on the transplant list. Less than a month later I got my new liver. So, if your doctor tells you that you have a fatty liver, take action immediately. Don’t ignore symptoms. 14:50

I had all my kids (6+ some I added in) and my new grandchildren and worried about leaving them without a mother/grandmother. I did alot of diet research... Not only how things affected the liver but to cleanse and regerate...I found alot of misleading info. Alot I had followed over the years, Until I found Keto, which was completely against almost everything I had been told about eating healthy. Nothing I had tried had workied, the information I looked up had clicked with my brain. When I went back to doc for checkup after 6 months I was too HEALTHY for the transplant list. You have literally brought me back to life on your knowledge, but you don't quite understand that unless we do take care of ourselves, we will be toes up Joe!!!!! Since 2015, I have realized that most doctors don't want you well; this is because they need us half dead to keep their lifestyle going!!! I've never had a doctor approach me with intentions to fix my problem but only to treat my symptoms! There's all these unnecessary tests that they need, instead of looking into the whole picture of nutrients and frankly, I'm disappointed in the medical system because I still am where I was in 2015, after a fall down stairs the first thing they wanted was some urine for a drug test, which about killed me!!!! My kidney and back is still messed up today, although I did change my eating habits and religiously watch your videos for nutritional information, because it's not found in the medical system of today and I just want to thank you for what you do, may God bless you and yours and keep them coming!!!

I am using cod liver oil to get things into equilibrium and OMAD to keep being healthy. However, things have worsened over time, so I now prepare for a 1 week total fasting, driving down food amounts. I am already on ketones, but fasting is another level of fixing things. Let's see how it goes 😊

@@lpg12338 In the mean time I have been fasting 2 times 5 days total zero diet, with each a pause of 2 days with scarsely 300 kcal each, and a failed attempt to make it 1 meal each 48 hours. Now I am preparing for another 5 + 2 days period of the solution above, which has worked very well, without side effects but losing significantly weight. In the second episode I have had less energy to throw away, but could still do my daily duties without feeling tired or unmotivated. The one meal every 2 days miserably failed because I was only thinking about food. In the 5+2 episodes I forgot quickly about food, because of the very long time before eating again. I believe, the psychology of fasting is much more complex than assumed. If your mind is about giving up to search for an excuse because it's going to be a long time, then the overall experience is way more positive. As in fact I want still lose weight and a 2 day cycle scares me way more than an almost 7 days one.

Also, I found that artificial vitamins have given me undesirable side effects, so I opted for 2 days 1 salad (300 kcal max) a day rather than continuing with synthetic vitamins and minerals. The side effects from calcium were most annoying, while magnesium made me unmotivated for a couple of hours. The vitamins made me feel increasingly sick in a strange way, can't tell how. Feeling: stop here!

And yes, I continued to take cod liver oil every day.

I used to get pain in my right side probably due to inflammation of my liver caused by my alcoholism. I'd also get itcy, flaky skin. Thankfully I've been sober for quite a few years now and don't get those symptoms anymore. Plus I eat pretty healthily with very little fried foods or take aways.

I'd start with the BOTTOM of the list first: FASTING. So effective for me. More than dieting or exercise. You sleep better, and these two, i.e. fasting and better sleep are the first and most important steps to healing from any malady.

I’m so fed up with the medical field after telling doctors for years I was in constant pain and discomfort and being told Everything was normal now I’m told I have an autoimmune condition, a fatty liver and chronic pancreatitis 😩 I’m trying to put the pieces together it all seems connected but my brain fog and memory as in late is not helping I’m through with doctors. But I do really appreciate you and all your information Dr berg❤

Many thanks Dr. Berg great video! I was sent to an endocrinologist when I was 19 due to Hashimoto’s disease or hyperthyroidism. He ended up being my doctor for about 25 years. In my 20s I started doing quite a bit of drinking. One of the things he mentioned to me is women process alcohol differently than men. Men seem to have a buffer from stomach to liver whereas women do not. The alcohol seems to bombard their liver more than a mans. He said they don’t know why but women will not last or not live as long as men if they have issues with the liver. He scared the heck out of me it actually worked I got into AA that day!

Has anyone tried the Serrapeptase enzyme? It is supposed to "eat" all the scar tissues in the liver and cure cirrhosis. I'm very curious about the results.
