Hello Kay, I am so glad I found your channel. I've enjoyed several of your videos and look forward to catching up with others. I would add, a fatigue jacket stays in my wardrobe all year round. With a sweater underneath during the winter and with a t-shirt in the summer. And yes, yes, black blazer and nude flats (for me) make a polished look any time of the year.

I always enjoy your videos, Kay- my “problem” with changing out my closet is that I have collected over the years, too many sweaters, many cashmere, and I love them, and I have trouble removing them because they are still in good shape and are pretty and warm! I do keep basics, in pants & jeans, but have limited closet space,too. I love all of the outfits you choose and combinations I wouldn’t think to do...and I have added a white blouse and chambray to my wardrobe and will have to iron them and incorporate in with cardigans. Keep the cute outfits coming! ☺️

This is the best video yet! I love all the ways you show how to style each one. I have the same list but my colors differs from some of yours. Browns , toffee, cinnamon, caramel etc. are my base but I still keep a small capsule of black. I do have bomber jackets so I call that an essential. Eve

I’m so proud of myself. I had everything on the list except the Black blazer. (I just got rid of the one I had because I never wore it). I think it’s because black usually looks pretty harsh on me. Wonderful video, as always, Kay. My cotton and silk (I have synthetic-fiber phobia) tank tops also stay in my closet year-round. In addition to summer wear, I use them a lot as underlayers in the winter. My upper arms aren’t so good, I should probably wear short sleeves instead, but it’s just too hot where I live.

Your basics are right on. You can find many, good Talbot and Chico on Poshmark and the real real. A good alternative for Talbots white shirt ( I have 5). Is George by Walmart. This is my go-to shirt. I also have a linen one from Chico’s. My favorite black pants are pontelle slimming slacks from Chico’s.

Enjoyed your video,as always. I leave my tank tops in my closet year round. Here in SC they are great for layering except in the coldest weather! They’re not as bulky or as hot in our temperate zone. This allows me to wear more sweaters and light weight jackets. Keep those tips coming!

The other item (again, not really clothing) that stays in my closet year round is my Talbots reversible navy and gray leather belt. Since I have more navy than black in my wardrobe, this belt looks good with everything, and pulls my outfits (and me!) together.

I have not had a blazer or jacket in my wardrobe for over 10 years. I have not even seen them in the stores during this time. Talk about an aging look. Only this year are some new, very broad shoulder styles in jackets coming in. And the girls are wearing them over casual tee shirts.

Yes I agree, fashion is fun and I do love shopping, but since iam retired now I like shopping for clothes I’ll use all year round ! I always buy cotton tshirts long sleeve and short sleeve in white,taupe,black and a light gray ( Everlane ) are my favorite tshirts I only have a few pairs of jeans ( Levi’s ) one black and one in a medium wash blue denim in the Spring and Summer I wear knee length denim shorts or Chino shorts ( (JCrew ) are my favorites I may need a denim jacket ☺️ Thanks for your videos 🌾
