My first Design for a wallet and the first wallet I made for myself is this design. haha Made it from Water buffalo, four horizontal card slots just like this. I kinda drew it up then later saw a bunch of folks had the same idea. Anyway, here we are years later and that wallet is still in my pocket today. I'm gonna be remaking it soon with upgrades considering my skill has improved. But I absolutely love the Horween
Honestly I haven't seen a long-term patina on the marbled cigar because it is a pretty recent option. If it ages like the marbled color 8 the color does darken a bit but you still do see the color contrast
Don't know if this is a stupid question but will your black cordovan shell patina over time as well, and how will the look change? I'm a huge fan of the black but so jealous of all the patinas that these lighter shades will go through.
No, no! This is a great question. Black shell cordovan will not change color. However, the luster still does develop in layers. The surface luster becomes brighter but a luster seems to develop from within the skin. I dig it. If you are looking for dramatic patina the black shell is not the way to go.
