I've noticed that you move your temperature clamps up and down when applied. I assume that is to clean the sensing spot but that can also damage the sensor, I would think. I always carry a little sand paper with me to clean the copper where I plan on taking the sensor temperature so all the sensor has to do is sense temperature and is not used for a cleaning device which, I would think, would be damaging to the sensor.

When are you going to just order a new temperature sensor? Many videos with that temp sensor giving you problems. Good video. I always learn something in these videos.

My Fieldpiece wired temp probe has been acting up as well. I zero’d it out and it worked well for a couple calls then went back to reading negative sub cooling on every call.

I think it's funny how people in the south set their tstat at 70. I live in the Phoenix area. If I set my tstat at 70, my a/c would run 24/7 and never satisfy. And my electric bill would be $800. I keep my tstat at 77, and that's low. Some people don't set below 80.
@bobbyelliott1117
@bobbyelliott1117 5 месяцев назад
I live in the south and set mine at 77 as well. On some hot summer days here would probably take 48 hours to get it down to 70 and as you said, couldn't pay the bill.
@numchux2

It's all about humidity, if it's less humid 77 is just fine but with humidity it's going to feel sticky and gross at 77...

They do tend to work better when air can pass through them. That's a good cleaner. Your hose may be collapsing on the inside. Good work once again.

You're supposed to open R410A upside down to mix the two refrigerants properly as a liquid.

The REASON YOUR CLAMPS ARENT ACCURATE IS BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS FORGET TO SAND THE COPPER BEFOFE ATTACHING THE CLAMPS, those FIELDPIECE CLAMPS USE THE PIPES ELECTRICAL RESISTANCE TO CHECK THE TEMPERATURE, they are not thermistors, if you do not attach to clean copper, you don’t get a accurate reading. Simple

Is there a way in the software to re-calibrate/offset an inaccurate temp sensor? So you don't have to drop a chunk of dough on a new sensor because it's off by a few degrees?
@bobshanery5152
@bobshanery5152 3 месяца назад
Dont think so. Depending on what you have but you can get them calibrated... however from my understanding you have to send it in to a place that does it. Somethings are free and some things cost. Not sure on prices but probably around a few hundred depending on what you have.

I have a question. I'm new to the HVAC field but whenever I gauge up on a system a bit of liquid/ vapor sprays out whenever I'm guaging up on a system? How do you avoid this? I noticed in the video that no vapor or liquid escapes when he is putting the gauges on. I'm using yellow jacket analog gauge and manifold

That foam gun defeats the purpose of the foaming cleaner. The cleaner is supposed to foam after it is put on the coil so it pushes the debris out. Then you can rinse it. It’s a gimmick to sell more cleaner and people seem to love them for some reason.
@BlahBlah-em2ed
@BlahBlah-em2ed 5 месяцев назад
So just take the cap off the jug of cleaner and pour it on the coils?
@PedroHenrique-cu6fq

thats what its doing, thr big foam falls after its aplyed, than leaves the solution it self

The foam is “activating” or in the chemistry world what is called emulsifying, which is a fancy way for saying a surface activating agent. Furthermore foam has exponentially more surface area compared to liquid cleaner meaning it goes waayyy further if you induce it into a foam, so to say it’s a ruse to sell more cleaner is simply not true. Just don’t be that tech using nubrite on an aluminum coil!
