【Mocomichi Style】#70 Garlic steak rice
【Ingredients/amount】
Sirloin steak---1
Rice (California rice)---1
Egg------------------2
Garlic---------------3
Mushroom-------2
Italian parsley---desired amount
Red chili pepper---1
Butter-------------------1 Tbsp
Salt and pepper----a little per each
Olive oil----------------desired amount
Vegetable oil--------desired amount
Black pepper--------a little
【Cooking process】
①Slice a garlic (one clove) thinly, fry them with olive oil in a frying pan and make garlic chips, take them out.
②Put steak meat in the ①’s pan, sprinkle salt, fry up both sides crisply, add butter and mix them, take the meat out.
③Slice mushrooms thinly, crush and chop up garlic (two cloves).
④Put ③ in ②’s pan and mix them all up, add rice, sprinkle salt and pepper, make space in the center of the pan and pour beaten egg into the center, fry up and mix the egg and rice together, decorate it on a plate.
⑤Chop up Italian parsley, cut red chili pepper diagonally, cut the ②’s steak into bite-sizes.
⑥Pour vegetable oil (2 cm high) in a small frying pan and heat it till 160°, put in a cracked egg gently and make a fried egg.
⑦Top ④’s rice with the cut steak, sprinkle Italian parsley, red chili pepper, garlic tips, put the fried egg on top, and sprinkle black pepper.
【Tips】
*You can always substitute with a poached egg or onsen tamago (egg) for topping.
*It’s a good idea to use bell peppers for a color accent.
