Got a new mic earlier, I used it to record the audio of this video, but I was short on time so I wasn't able to perfect things yet. Been having a ton of technical issues lately, but I think the majority of them should be fine now!
Link to my Discord is down below, I wanna make good use of that new facts and questions channel, so feel free to use it to your heart's content (so long as you stay within the channel's purposes)
And, quick specification, but for when I tested out Terry's special input moves regarding the battle data, I said "it doesn't count the special inputs as special moves." I was referring specifically to Bustah Wolf and Powah Geyser, but NOT the input up special I did -- input special moves count toward Special Move KOs, just not the GO meter ones.

Those reflections aren't real reflections. They're things that video games use called "reflect maps", which are images used to make shiny objects at least slightly accurately reflect the environment that they're in. You could also theoretically see them on metal characters or glass objects, like Olimar's helmet, albeit with a slight filter.

Some of Melee's trophies are a good example. Metal Mario's body has a reflect map of Yoshi's Island (Melee), the Baby Metroid trophy has a map of Super Metroid's title screen across its face, various trophies (for some reason) have a location from the cancelled Mother 64, and the Fire Kirby trophy's gem has a baby's face. Check the Cutting Room Floor, it shows the textures.

The technical term for those are HDRI's and they're panoramic images which contain a 360 degree view of an environment. I think what's most fascinating is that every stage has its own unique HDRI, considering that there are very few instances in the game where reflections are even used, attention to detail

There's an interesting hidden Mechanic using Kirby's inhale, specifically inhaling and shooting opponents out. If the opponent has a higher percent than Kirby, they actually shoot out further, depending on the gap between percents. But if Kirby has more perent, the star actually shoots shorter. So if you go to training, set the computer to 999% and inhale them, shooting them out will make the star shoot all the way off stage, as long as they don't hit a wall. But if Kirby also has 999%, it will be around the normal distance. This is mot true for King Dedede.

The number under the combo counter in training mode only turns red when the combo you’re doing is not allowed to be your Max Combo on the CSS. This is due to the combo being invalid because of the use of items. So if you do something with a Ray Gun for example, it won’t count towards your Max Combo. But it will count if you use an equipment item, such as a timer. Makes sense.

Pointless fact: Vilager's dash attack actually involves RNG. There is a 50% chance the pot will get broken the first time it hits the ground, and another 50% chance for the pot to get broken the second time it hits the ground.

I think it would be interesting if in a future smash game characters from same games on same side could do team final smashes. A hypothetical example would be Zelda firing a light arrow then if that hits it stuns the foe so that link can do a stronger version of his final smash ( and if it hits a foe in the air the final hit will be his jumping finisher he always does but it will spike) or the mario bros doing a bros attack. This would only be able to be done in team battles ( maybe specifically if both characters have final smash meter)

Fun Fact: If Pac-Man's Hydrant is on the ground, an opponent can counter it. The Hydrant's hitbox seems to deactivate when it touches the ground, but not against counters for some reason. Also, his Up Air gives you a small boost in the air, allowing you to drop from a platform and immediately Up Air to land on that same platform. Same can be done for K. Rool's, but Pac's is easily the most efficient. Both of these are sorta useful at times, but very niche.

The Norfair reflection is a "fish-eye" view of the Normal stage, where the view is from slightly above center stage, and the two pillars on the sides are the always-present lava walls that flood in from the sides as stage hazards

The underside of the Brinstar stage can always be passed through on the underside. While the top is solid and you can't crouch through it, you can safely pass from underneath, kinda like Magicant's platforms

This is an old video but I think duck hunt hits twice because the explosion has the same properties as the target because they are normally synced but the explosions are affected more by the slow-down.

Re: Ditto taking more knockback than a normal fighter - Not sure if it's an intentional reference or just Smash-convenience, but when Ditto transforms in the main Pokémon games, the one stat that *doesnt* change is its HP. So a Ditto copy will be identical to the original, but usually with much less health
