@3generation_racing658 All I can say is props to you, your dad, and your grandpa for keeping up the tradition! And for showing that there are still decent people in the world, a good family, and the importance of having a good time together. Just from listening to your dad in the video I can tell just how proud he is of you. And how much he wants to teach you how to do things right. I'll tell you this, just from your other video, that you made a point of keeping the fire extinguisher in the car, you were so safety conscious jacking it up working underneath, your dad taught you the right way! Thanks again for the memories my friend! I spent a few weekends in my day back in the 80s at Lebanon Valley burning off some tires. I grew up just a short distance upstate from there. Take care and always be extra safe. I'm also glad your dad taught you to mess around in parking lots to learn how to handle the car if it gets squirrelly . My dad did the same thing, and it definitely helped me on a rainy night in a 5.0L Mustang GT in the late '80s. If it wasn't for those parking lot lessons I would've lost it for sure when I downshifted and the tires broke loose in between two concrete construction barriers. That car fishtailed three times really bad, first to the right, then to the left, then to the right again, before I finally got it slowed down and stopped with a 180 facing north in the southbound lane of I-87. Without that parking lot training it would have been a lot worse. Good luck with everything you do in life! And good luck on that bet for the donuts! I love that! Dad is a class act for sure!
Very glad I subbed!! I'm old school too, the ventura ran like a champ!! I'm just new here so I'm just meeting the car family:) Thank you for another great vid.!
we did do some tuning. the first day we tried tuning our new qa1 shocks but didn’t have much luck since the prep wasn’t great. we also tried a different carb. we went from a 750 to a 830 and it slowed down all the way to a 11.37. the heat was terrible that day. the air was very thick and soupy. saturday we went back to the other carb and the prep was a lot better and ran 11.18. the air was also a little better. as far as jetting we have a computer in the car that we are having trouble getting data from so we couldn’t make any moves not knowing where we were, especially with the hot weather. the car wouldn’t have gone any faster then it’s fastest pass of 11.13 this weekend. thanks for commenting! anymore questions feel free to ask!
