Awesome video! However, you guys are insane balancing a 200lb 700R4 on a single point on a 3 ton floor jack. But it looks like Pops has turned a wrench or two and its not his first rodeo. Still, consider popping for $80 and getting the harbor freight small tranny jack!

I drove with both automatic an a stick on a 3rd gen and I much prefer the five speed. Both 305 cars just TBI. 5-speed way more fun. They just didn't have the power to rip very well with the auto. Same thing with the foxes that aod in those were terrible! Felt like it was taking off in 2nd gear.

@@RoyFortheWin We had a manual center console and marked it out then took the plate that the shift sits in and used it as a template to make the correct cut

i am about to do the same thing with my 73 pinto .. it has a 4.3 with turbo 350 .. i have a trans from a v8 camaro with flywheel and everything ,, are the flywheels the same size and same tooth count ,,

So we had a parts car that we got the transmission and eveything from. Had to use the lines as well!

Ah, I'm asking as I'm about to attempt this this weekend in a high school carpark. I'm in the UK too so im hoping I have all the parts. Can I asked what you did for the connections for the clutch pedal and reverse light? or the electrical connections in general ?@@mr.luckyracing7112

@@danpeake139 So this helped out a bunch but i had another rolling camaro that use to be a manual. I took the pedal assembly and master cylinder off it and it bolts right up to the other car. Other then that cut a hole in the center and your transmission just bolt right in!
