@@glall90 my car has a windshield wiper on the rear glass and has defrosting options. It's been life saving in extreme dourpours where I can't even see out the side mirrors that well, but can see all the lanes

Yes it dims the headlights. I haven't tried any 4K mirror dashcams yet, will recommend once I try one.

I am looking for a wide angle rear camera 170 degrees minimum and more even distorted. The S500's camera is only 138 degrees, however is it possible to install a wide angle camera?

You probably wont be able to upgrade to another camera. Rear camera has a 4 pin connector at the back. No direct mount as per my knowledge.

If you see the full video, you can find the answers to all your questions. I guess you didn't see the video. Nevertheless, 1. Yes it can be used as normal mirror. 2. Yes it gives reverse parking assistance with guide lines. 3. You can turn on or turn off the screen as per your requirement. It's not always on

Hi, it’s a very informative video, thanks, Can we use reverse camera features without connecting red wire to reverse tail gate (if we don’t want wire cutting n warranty void! ), so if reverse camera so require during reversing we can do it on screen touch ?

Yes, you can. Its not compulsory to connect red wire to rear tail light. You can always shift the view to rear camera using touch screen. But you wont get the reverse assist guide lines on it.

The angulation required to get a proper view of the rear might not be possible with tail gate window mount. You might do a mock installation and check the view before installing permanently.

Ofcourse you can. There are 3 ways to install the rear camera. Either by using the sticker only, or by screw fitment, or both together.

Yes it is. Most dashcams catch lot of glare and reflections due to bright sunlight. CPL filter will remove all that and give you clear videos. It's worth it

Incorrect. I have tested this camera extensively and there is no shake or blurry effect. You have to make sure that you mount the camera tightly with the given straps. Incorrect mounting will cause it to shake.

I have shown this in the video, that if you align the camera towards the rear windshield, it will cause reflection on the mirror. It has a simple solution. You have to align the mirror towards the non reflective part of the car like rear seats etc, then it won't have any reflection.

I am using this and yes shake is observed occasionally which is inconvenience for day to day use. Also reflection is observed but solution is already mentioned to adjust the mirror to non reflective or less reflected parts of car

You can use the rear camera view anytime you want. Connecting to tail lights only provides the 'guiding lines' on the screen. If you don't require guide lines, you can use without connecting to tail lights.

Hello brother, I got a second question. As you explained I wanted the bacl cam to connect to the reverse light for revesre camera gyudelines. Can we connect without wirecut to avoid warranty?

You don't have to cut any wire. All you need to do is disconnect the reverse light wire plug, from its socket and connect the dashcam reverse signal cable wire into the same socket and put back the plug into its place. The reverse signal wire(from the dashcam) will get squeezed between the connecting terminal of the car's reverse light and it's connected socket. I have connected it the same way in my car. You can remove this wire again anytime you want. No wire cutting needed.

Correct. The rear camera does get a screw mount. You have to install the rear camera using the provided screws which will make it difficult for anyone to just grab the camera.

Yes they can. And that's why if you are too concerned with it, you can install it inside. But getting the proper camera angle will be difficult as the installation position will vary with cars. You have to do a mock installation in your car to check for proper camera angle. If it works out, fix it permanently in that place.

You have to connect the backup signal cable (red) of the rear camera to your car's reverse light connection. It will then switch automatically when you put your car in reverse gear.

Hello, tried reaching you ..appreciate the work you are doing.. I need your help in understanding few things.. I have recently got woodman 2.5k dashcam with hardwire kit included in it .. The hardwire kit needs to be hardwired in the fuse box , ignition, battery and ground are the 3 connection. Question/ my understanding is when the car is parked it will take power from car Battery to run .. but I can't find an option of turning that off when cars battery drops to certain level like we have in other dashcam..so that means if I park my car for long time it will drain my battery right ? I tried connecting with woodmen support they have no clue.. please advise

I haven't tried the Woodman dashcam yet. But all hardwiring kits usually come with a control box within them, which monitors the voltage of the battery and cuts off power once the pre determined voltage is reached, for example 11.8V or 12V. Also, the app usually provides battery protection feature, but I don't know if Woodman app has it. I've tried reaching out to Woodman to get a review unit.
