a lot of you don't seem to understand sarcasm......the entire skit was supposed to be sarcastic idk how much more clear they could have been. maybe stop being the special snowflakes yall seem to love calling others so much.
Yeah, I've considered that maybe it was sarcasm after watching it a couple times. However, I don't believe this is what the world needs with all the racial tension going on. They just kept talking about race the entire show. Bringing up race on everything. I feel like it kind of takes the point out of diversity when you feel like you need to point out "hey look! We nominated black people and women this year! Yay for us!" Just do it. Nominate whoever deserves it. You don't need to talk about it or brag about it or pat yourself on the back for it.
@@vivianacorrearamirez7789 just that it was a shit show until the last minute, but it was because Sudi and another SNL person were producing and that was sort of the way they were used to doing it every week for their show. However the producers of the emmys were like "what the fuck r u girls doing get it together" and ultimately she expressed it was the most stressful thing ever but pulled it together in the end !!
Complaining about lack of diversity in award shows was edgy in 2016 but not so much today. It is a glaring fact and it doesn't need to be refried every single time!!
By continuing to act above it all and smug. Hollywood liberal types really don't know how America thinks. They are so disconnected from the Heartland. Shit like this just pisses us off, it's alienating and it's securing my vote for Trump AGAIN!
I mean...if you guys are too stupid to realize this has very little to do with politics, and is mostly them making fun of themselves then I'm pretty sure you guys would vote for Trump anyways...no matter what people in Hollywood did.
So of all the Celebs actually doing the skit we had four black men, two white blonde women and then RuPaul, who is a black man who plays a white blonde woman.
Exactly! Thank you We solved it and 2 white women are singing and explaining why to black men...on the other side of the nation a white woman is literally getting a senate hearing for a misdemeanor sexual assault and the accused can't be in the room. We SOLVED IT! The white woman in her divineness will bring utopia. As a fellow white woman I want to say thank you to all the minorities who history of true inequality I now use to place me on this pedestal. In celebration I would like to say " let them eat cake"
Mate. I'm just making a RuPaul joke. Not trying to get political here. The whole point of the skit is that hollywood representation is inadequate. You don't get a cookie for being a white girl who knows racism exists.
Ok so first of all, I commented about who wrote this skit, and that means I didn't ask for your opinion about my username, nor do I care about it. Second of all, I am not "telling myself" this, the facts are that Colin Jost and Michael Che (this year's hosts) wrote the script for the skits presented, work in Saturday Night Live (where they are also the head writers), they said it themselves that they were trying to do somethng similar with what they do in SNL. If you watch any of the Weekend Updates they do, you'll see that this is something very simlar to their sense of humour (which is obvious, since they were the ones who wrote it).
I can't believe they're this stupid. I wonder if they'll get even MORE blatant than this. Is that even possible? Every time I'm proven wrong, so I believe it is possible.
It's interesting pausing and looking at the face expressions of the people in the audience. A lot of them don't seem to like what they're seeing. A lot of fake smiles. You can see it in their eyes, even a lot of the black people in the audience don't seem to like it (I think because they know it's too blatant and will cause backlash).
This whole thing was worshiping Liberals what is wrong with Republicans why cant we respect everyone else's views and get along there is no point in fighting. People will always be different.
@@deadendjustice948 you're telling me there is not a single black TV actress they could've called? That had nothing to do with someone's intellect... great point you've made by being so damn rude
There are plenty, but when the ratio is literally 8:1 in the general population, and probably 100:1 in the industry, how likely is it that a black actress would win over a white, it'd be like me complaining not enough white people win awards in Bollywood.
Funny that liberals can't even handle one single 'conservative' news network. PS This is actually how I judge if someone is basic bitch or not, they make Fox News jokes. Basic bitch level 10 if they spell is "Faux News" lol
Why is “diversity” considered a black and white thing?!? I mean! They are saying how diverse this is by pointing out one single Asian nominated?!? Where are the Native American actors for example?!? So many great Native American actors in this country and not ONE on tv right now?!? I don’t see this as diverse AT ALL
