Thanks for at least taking the time to video this... I have been working on my wiring. and had to replace the power lines to the cluster ( Black wire at 12 o'clock that runs to the 8 and 4 o'clock positions ) ( this wire starts at #12 fuse. comes to the 4 o'clock , to the 12 o'clock to the 8 o'clock ) The Brown wire at the 12 o'clock runs to a white T-8 connector and it goes back to the Fuel gauge sending unit. ( gas gauge ) The Blue and Red wire that cross at 3 and 9 o'clock are the Turn signal wires... the other end goes to the Emergency Flasher Relay ( 49-a terminal ) which shares with a blue wire that goes to the Turn Signal Switch on the column. Below the Turn signal light ( the one nearest the drivers door ) you have the Generator Warning light... it's a Dark Blue / Blue wire that Runs to the Same T-8 connector.. and runs back to the Generator. Below that you have the Bright Light Warning bulb, its the Blue / White Wire that goes to Fuse #6 ( shares with a thick solid white wire) Continuing around you have a Gray / Black Wire... this is Parking Light Warning lamp... and it runs to Terminal #57 on your Headlight switch. the light at the 8 o'clock position is The Oil Pressure Warning light It's a Blue / Green / Black wire that runs to the T-8 connector and on back to the Oil Pressure Switch in the Engine compartment. There should be to lights for the display... up near the 12 o'clock and next to the speedometer... they share a white / red wire to illuminate the dash at night. The other end comes from Terminal 58b on the Headlight switch. Hope this helps some who come across here for info.
@missgolosh As far as I know, there are specific ground connections, that the wires are already connected to, and get disconnected somewhere in the video.
@missgolosh you have to go the hell under your bus, with 3d glasses if your colour blind, follow the colour of wire your chasing, see where it ends, or where it gets sent back again to instrument pannel, if you can have a friend keep the buss running so you can test each wires connection along the way to ground, test for loss of coonection along the way
I'm sorry, but this video isn't that helpful because it doesn't include the usage information, it just says "it goes here, it goes there'. Currently dealing with short issues and incorrect wiring on my 74 westfalia instrument panel and trying to get it back to original configuration, to start with.
