You can't beat an Ol' flat track Cat. In my opinion the D6C's were one of the best. I miss working on them from my early years as a Cat heavy Mechanic. Thanks for the video Dennis, can't wait to see this Ol' Girl in action.
Hi there from an old kiwi dozer operator and owner of many dozers in my fifty six years of operating and owning heavy machinary, The D 6 C was and still is a very good model , it and the D 6 D were two of the better D 6 s Caterpillar built in my opinion for what ever it may be worth, Your machines looks to be in fairly good order , very tidy indeed, Unfortunately for those around me I am still addicted to operating heavy machinery and am at present time in the Northern Territory of Australia on a vast 1.2 million acre cattle station operating a Caterpillar 16 H grader , now in my 71st year I know it is only a matter of time when the inevitable days arrives that I'm going to have to hang up my boots for good , Enjoy your D6 C , truly a very capable and nice well balanced machine to operate. Cheers and thanks for sharing your video from an old 1953 model kiwi ,
Nice tractor. I've given up looking for an older D6(for play) after searching for 10 years. When I find one that grabs my attention, it's either west of the Mississippi or up in the New England area: too far to transport.
What year is that dozer ? I'm a 1953 model and I don't start that easy after just taking a nap. Hope to see more of it working at the job site. Thanks for sharing.
