@ThatDudeinBlue it works. I for one stay away from the blog style tubers. However I always liked the rally videos and car show highlights with commentary
You can only watch someone install parts or paint a car so many times. This is great because its like the diners drive ins and dives of car RU-vid. Home built madness on display 😁
I swear, I’ve been watching since I was a kid in high school, now married with a couple little ones 10 years later, he’s always been authentic to his content.
Imagine spending 300k dollars to get absolutely destroyed by this with someone puffing on a USB drive as they smoke your inheritance car and a passenger brings out a "Sell It" sign Priceless
I clicked on this video QUICKK. I own a 620bhp BMW M4 CS that feels silly fast. 720bhp in a MX5/Miata sounds absolutely stupid. Incredible to actually see the car put the power down!
I'm so glad you were able to make it out. Adam is such a great dude. Thanks for making his year. This video was awesome. You're awesome. Adam is a peach. Looking forward to the next video as always.
Seen similar once in person when a fellow took an Evo IX (4G63) drivetrain and stuck it in a dodge colt… which was another co-op build that I forget what the Mitsubishi equivalent was but little light economy car.
You have got to be kidding me! I just got done watching this thing run at Traders World auto cross. This is the second car from my area that you've reviewed and I am here for it!!!
The 13b renesis engine is fine with the right steps. Remove the stock cats to keep buildup at a minimum, use premix to help save those rings, and maintain fluids accordingly. The bad rep comes from people beating and neglecting them.
Check out Rob Dahm. There has been a lot of progress on fixing how Mazda set up the rotary motors from the factory. I don't think they are quite daily-able without a lot of babysitting, but maybe I'm wrong. But for a more dedicated track car, they look and perform fantastic.
Consider this an intervention- your brain is wired wrong. Terrible wrong wheel drive car and super unreliable engine. Find something else to work on that will actually happen and go fast. Hell, a turbo Miata with its original engine will cost less and go way faster. You're welcome.
@@Sun_Salt_and_Gasoline they have an AWD manual Probe and I'm aware of the W8's downfalls. I would like something that is going to piss me off and handle well
The shop that build this car built my Evo x motor. Hopefully it runs just as hard after break in and tune. Next time you come to Cincy I have an evo and a comp cams Cobra jet s550 that revs to 8500. Be happy to let you drive both.
Terrifying if it gets off the line. Reliable equals parts and this doesn't have it. Build reality instead of a dream. Make a literal spaceship if you ou want to blow minds. I mean, Elon does it🤷 You have no excuse to not beat him on the ground realistically. If you do, bend the damn knee and go away.
Seen this at the Shoot Out last weekend, this thing was hauling ass in max effort (autocross x drag pass). Deff a dope respectable build and it sounds mean and wayy better in person. Good job man
I imagine the comically large duckbill is for race class purposes? Also seeing the handbrake compress to its actuation point at 5:00 is pretty crazy to see even if it doesn’t take that much pressure.
This thing is gnarly! This is why Miata Is Always The Answer! I love my little turbo na, little power but so much fun. And super excited for Cosmic Drift. My first time going to a Lanier event and I live so close lol Hope to see y’all there
Man this has gotta be my favorite review I've seen in a WHILE. Your content is always good, but I've got a soft spot for these underdog gone wild builds. Hell yeah David!
I WANNA SEE THIS THING AT COSMIC DRIFT! Also, you missed the opportunity to say "This is an NA miata, that is very much NOT N/A! If you catch my... drift"
I would imagine that 5e “sequential” style shift linkage is just that-it can’t turn a T56 into a true sequential gearbox. But it does a mean simulation of a sequential ‘box. I’m not knocking-far from it-but I’d like to know how the linkage works. Some kind of ratcheting-return device maybe.
LOVE the car...but to all the people comparing this to someone who actually has the money to buy a supercar is stupid. I can guarantee they don't lose sleep at night. You don't think people with a ton of money can just commission someone to put a huge motor in any tiny car they want? A supercar is about alot more than just going fast. Doubt anyone in a McLaren or otherwise is watching this video thinking "man if I only just got a Miata and tore it down"....
I've always wondered about the S1 shifter for the T56 but never really found any good videos or reviews on it and if it truly worked well for how expensive it is. Do you think it would be worth installing after feeling how it works?
